some odd reason i went and popped UC2 in my 360, and it said there was a download available for it, well after it downloaded i went to go play the game and it said nope, but there may be an update available, check with xbox.com, blah blah, but at the end of the message was some numbers and what not, X: 2689.0 B:1884.0 any one try this or know what this means??

"There MAY be an update" There is not.....

It's telling you to go on xbox.com and get a blank disk and download all the BC games...

I dont think the new patch was designed for 360'z hardware but only for the Xbox. There are two different graphic chipsetz amongst the both of them.

Among many other things.Theorectically thought that shoud not be an issue.The chipset really has little bearing on the issue.I belivve the 360 uses 929-Pin socket set.That realyy matters little in the end.What I think the can be is 64 to 32 bit compatibility.

Isnt the processor a chip? Hardware.None the less. I dont know all the 360 detailz yet,I definatly know that it haz totally different hardware like a ATI GPU insted of and Nvidia GPU.

So what you are saying is some games are harder to emulate then others? THe Graphics on Uc1 aren't even close to Uc2 so what is the hold up?

The game was made to make the xbox run it's fullst...If it was on our 360's it would probly use soooo much of our HDD's or it may just not even have enfo.

^^^ same I have started to really hate melee I can do it well it's just that if uc1 is so much more balanced fast and fun.

I think they should have it, but redefine it to make it balanced.

And reflect should be an adrenaline move.

Actually, I personally felt that UC1 was extrememly unbalanced. The character classes were outta' control. Good luck trying to own with a Juggie when the Liandri Robots could leap sixty feet in the air with a Lightning Gun.[face_doh!]

I missed the first Unreal Championship.[face_plain]

I miss it too, and still play the original from time to time - but UC2 is still a much better all-around experience. The character abilities are more balanced in my opinion. Especially since everybody has Nimble and Speed at their disposal.

I played the originial (I think) Unreal Championship game of the year edition. But Unreal Championship 2 is way better because of melee, adrenaline, shield. etc.

I liked UC1 because of the character affinities with the weapons.But it was really unfair with the robots jumping into the air and using lock-on rockets from above. [face_plain]

Ive been banned from adreebreemans server for owning him i get like 3 kills on him n he boots me and now im perm banned on both my accounts (NOOB!) and that feveredTNT OMFG!!!! He brings shame on all us brittish players out there hes an emp rejecting F*G**T, he aint good 1 bit well done if your godlike but stats mean nothing without respect.

xbox 360 is doing pretty good in the us.

this has really been unfortunate. Just like hopes of the rest of the characters being made playable...I've basically given up at this point of UC2 being on the bc list. It's a shame...x360 could've been such a great system if only they could've had full, true backwards compatibility. The sales numbers would've been significantly higher(*I know it's doing well, apparently...but imagine if they had the full backwards compatibility?), and Sony would've been in trouble. (*you could still say they might be in trouble due to the problematic Blue Ray and copy-protection nonsense looming on the horizon, but that's getting off on a slight tangent.)

But yeah...if there were full BC, and thus we could play UC2 on 360....I most likely would've bought one at launch. Even now...it wouldn't be such a tough decision for me to either get that or a HD video camera after my tax refund hits the account(heh, and I'm leaning towards the camera)

get the camera, I wasted my money on a 360 hoping theyd get some good games out quick but there jsut isn't anything worth buying on that system. I just use it for the arcade games until they finally release somethin worthwhile

That is the case; some games only use basic computing functionality which the 2 computers share, but others use very specific Xbox functionality that doesn't work the same on the 360, and has to be emulated.
Since the 360 doesn't have a complete emulator (which would be a lot of work, and which would probably take a lot of hard drive space), every game needs its own unique emulator.

UC should be easier than UC2, and having either game working will probably help getting the other working, since they still share the same, basic engine, or at least parts of it.

to be honest, xb360 really is garbage i would rather play uc2 than any other game on 360. single player games are good. most of the game i played on 360 have issues with them
