    Default [OZ] UT2007 recruits

HEy guys my clan on 2k4 which is inactive atm, is going to reform for UT2007.Im not the best of the clan, and Im no slouch. These guys tear it up.I was recruited in game by them a long time ago.

So anyways I was talking to the main founder [OZ]Goku (not a DBZ clan)
He wants some new blood for the next game.So sometime in the near future, we'll be getting on the demo if it's released and all that.

We have 2 sides to the clan.Part of the ONLY reason Im in it.Theres the guys who just bake it and play and laugh at it and have fun, and theres the ultra bad serious guys too.I tend to get along with both well.Goku is the best probably, and I call myself like 5th, but somehow I can always like tie with him, like my proudest stuff.

The guys are top notch, so if your a long time pal or whatnot from these forums, and are intresed, I can basically say your in.Good peole are liked. These guys know WAY more than I know about theses games too. They're insane.

In the end it's all friendly stuff though, but they do enter ladders and stuff. They never did one I wished to partake in.The diid mostly TAM after awhile, and it's like assult DM sorta. It really throws me out of my square.

I want like Tug and Snoogs and maybe some other cool peeps here.
For Tug, this would be a grreat clan to get into for you man, Im for reals.

Just about anyone I know well is invited, you probaly know who all of you are.Grav, Proph, Acid, PEace...all the mercelss guys who will form there own clans...LOL

    You knwo who you are.

Just an invite to all you guys if you want.

You know how I do it too, maps, oh maybe a clan map or 2.

    Count me... OUT

Ha ha, just kidding. I'm definitely all about joining. Sounds like a good time. My playing style blurs the line between competitive and fun. I come into every match with no expectations, try my best, and ultimately look to enjoy myslef throughout the process. Besides, I can always learn a few new pointers from the big-dogs.

Tug, I hear that noise. I recently picked up a solid PC to use exclusively for gaming, and also to enjoy UT 2004 in all its glory. It should help to practice until UT 2007 is released, and I have enough PC performance to get me through until then before maybe considering an upgrade. I should be able to run UT 2007 well at medium settings, but since I'm a sucker for all things pretty, I'll be itching to play everything at high settings.

That's cool. Maybe we can play together while talking about the newest equipment that is coming out. LOL it will be funny to own people, or try in my case, while discussing the newest processor.

Well Im not even sure I'll be able to play, but Im fairly sure you'll be able to play as long as you have a card taht can run 2k4 well, it just will proably not look nearly as good.I hear that there are actually going to be 2 versions of the game, on for 64-bit dual cores, and one for single core 32-bit.

You gotta look at it like this, if they dont support a wide range of systems, and specs, then only the very HIGH end users will be able to play, thus narrowing your market, and guaranted low sales.Don't think Epics gonna do that, they've always been good about this aspect, so Im fairly caertain it'll be ok in many cases in all reality.BUt just ok.

Im thinking kinda like UT2007 would look like a hyped up UC2 on PCs like mine....I guess we'll see.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how Epic goes about this scenario, and whether or not they cater to everyone. You're right though, if only high-end users can play, it's going to affect sales drastically. I'm mind-boggled though. I payed $400 bucks for a 360, and twice that amount for a computer with relatively similar specs.

Granted, I understand that PCs are more multi-functional and whatnot, but for the price, shouldn't we be getting better gaming set-ups? That's one thing that absolutely blows about computers - the price and constant upgrades. Sure, it can be fun to upgrade, but costly.

[face_cool] Wow...I'm set for years with my comp. I guess I'll pick up UT2k7. At least to make my computer work a little more.

As for my 360, I've been having some fun with BF2:MC, currently with Chromehounds, and I am thoroughly looking forward for Huxley. I'm positive that game is be amazing. Unreal Engined based MMFPS[face_hypnotized] ...shoot, lemme find out.

    Here is what I have:
Beforce 7950GX2 GDDR3 (PCI Express x16 Dual GPU Video Card, and Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (2.2GHz). Oh forgot the 700 watt power supply.

The great thing about it is that the video card is 2 gpu's on one card. And the motherboard I am getting is SLI. Sooo.... That means that I can get another card (when I need to) to have a total of 4 gpu's. Insane huh??? UT2k7 will have no problem running on my comp. Heck I can probably run two instances of the game at the same time. One dedi and one with me playing with the framerates still over 100. This is going to be sweet.

Im not too sure Im going to have an expendable $1000 anytime soon for a new rig.

If I want to upgrade processors, thats a new rig.

I just gotta hope it'll play on my machine.

OR come acrooss a lotto winning or something.

    2.1 Ghz AMD
128MB Nvidia GeForce FX5200 (can upgrade that)
    512 RAM (can upgrade)

The processor is the main thing I think.

Like Q4 and stuff runs pretty crappt in my machine.

    I would'nt even try Doom 3

Now I'm curious, dual cores have two processors then - and if a machine has say 3.0 GHz Duals, does that mean it's pushing out 6.0 GHz in total? Or only if a game actually uses the duals?

    Nah does'nt work that way.

IT still runs at 2.5 GHz, but having two "information pipelines" or "cores" really imporoves effiencey.

    Think of it like this:

You Processor is like a highway for data.

    Think of cores as lanes.

You now have two lanes instead of one.

Bravo, well said. Pipelines is what you really should be looking at. My cpu has 48. That is way more then what I need for anything. Well CAD maybe a problem, but I am fine with animations and rendering.
