Default The offical Ripjack using guide to perfection

Hello,I would like to help anyone having trouble using the Ripjack.

Firstly, lets learn some things. I play completely in 3rd person view, you don't have to if you do not wish to. Ok, lets get started:

Aiming. This is,of course, the most important thing of all. I've heard that some find it very hard to aim with the Ripjack,i've made some solutions:
    1) Good ol' practice
    2) Try getting or using a smaller Xbox controller,or bigger if your hands are small. I find that the hand partage can mess up the movement of the thumb.
3)Aim where they are going to be,not where they are. You will have a MUCH better chance of hitting your oppenent if you fire where they are running to.

Now, lets get down to learning to using the Ripjack correctly. We all know that the Ripjack's alternate fire has splash damage, only use this to your advantage. Chances are you won't hit someone directly,so hit the ground in front of them,so they'll jack splash damage. The primary fire, launches basic blades they can reflect/bounce off of walls. This is both an advantage or a disatvantage,as your oppenet can simply jump, and the disc will own you. Try to avoid this by not using the Ripjack up close.

Ripjack Mines. These are,in my opinion, the best feature of the Ripjack. For those of you who don't know how,all you must do his charge up the blade (hold down L) then fire (press R,while still having L held down) this will fire a spinning disc, which will attach to a wall,or the ground. When something gets near it,boom for them. This is VERY VERY useful for CTF. Keep in mind, most people tend not to look at the ground,so they'll just run right into it,and kill for you!

    Stratigies:
The best thing the Ripjack is used for is traps. The Ripjack is a trap weapon, with some shots to back itself up. The main thing you should do is use mines and the alternate fire. While the main fire is ok for medium ranges, its not reccomed wasting ammo for pot shots. Use your ammo wisely!

    Cool moves:
Heres a list of moves that look cool, and get you a kill when you do the ( with the Ripjack, duh)

Sorry if any of these moves have lame names >_<

**Please use 3rd person view for these**
    1) Rip It Up:
With this move, you strafe to the side of your oppenet, and give them a nice array of discs through the hip. This is done easliy, simple move (or jump) to the side of your oppenet, and hold down R(Do this is oppenent NOT paying attention to you >.<)

    2) Flipper Ripper
This move is difficult, but satisfying. Charge a disc fully. (Hold down L) Not,wait for an enemy. Once one comes, jump and do a turning flip in midair, and fire at him!

    3) Stuck at your head
This move is just for fun, but find a map with closed in hallways (Viperpit for example) and place a Rip Mine on the ceiling when you see someone coming. In an attemp to catch you, they'll run right under the mine. Boom goes their head >.>

4)Me in front, disc in your back.
This is hard to do unless your enemy is pretty much standing still. Walk up to him,and launch a normal shot (R) at the wall, which should relfect off the wall and hit him in the back. Hard to do,but pretty neat.

    5) NONE SHALL PASS!
This is pretty neat. Again, find a map with an enclosed hallway (Viperpit, for example) And stand on the side of the hallway,so your blocking a path to your flag. Once and enemy comes, launch normal discs (R) at the ground, either way, the disc should hit them most of the time. Watch out for people who spam rockets.

And thats all. Hope you enjoyed and this guide helped you in some way. Feel free to add your own things to it! I apologize for any spelling mistakes :P

Wow, that's really good, thanks for the tips! I never really even looked at the Ripjack before when there was always the Flak Cannon or Rocket Launcher there, but now I see that it has more reason to it than that....
