    Default 2k7: discussion about weightclasses

    http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=514243

I was reading trough this thread, I think it's quite interesting to see how people are responding to the new skins we've seen from 2007's screenshots.

I was wondering if anyone at Epic can confirm if different weihgtclasses were part of the designproces when the characters were designed, will there be less armoured characters?
I was also interested in the take of the Nakthi, are they going to be like the ones we have seen in UC2, or is their appearance more to be allong the lines of the current characters, in other words: will they blend in?

Some people are fine with the look of the current characters, others aren't. However, I think most people agree that some varience in armourdesign wouldn't hurt.

I'm just bringing this up because I know modelling a 6 million polygon character is a very tedious task, and I don't like people say it looks like **** afterwards.

    Good luck with development!

Just looks actually... not everyone is liking the look of the big amounts of armour the current guys are wearing.

I remember reading an interview with one of the artists over at Epic Games. He said that guys wearing big armor and bigger guns is the typical style over at Epic (the Gears from GoW are also wearing pretty big suits). I don't mind it, as long as there will be some variation in armor size. I must say the Shock Rifle scale right now is way over the top.

Everything should be equal by default. Maybe it can be a option but having weight classes as a default is not something UT should move to. Its sound about right for UC but never UT.
