Please EPIC make at least one console version of UT2007 cross platform with PC for online!!

I don't care if it's Xbox 360 or PS3, all I want is cross platform to be able to play with the PC version and I wanna be able to use the mouse and keyboard on the console version.

My PC is good enough to run UT2k4 now, but just looking at the graphics for UE 3 hurts my wallet, Id have to spend more on a new video card alone than a whole new console, not to mention a new CPU, and maybe faster RAM.

My computer is currently running:

- AMD 64 3000+
- 1 GB Kingston DDR RAM PC3200 (cheapo value Ram)
- MSI Nvidia FX5900 XT 128 MB video
- Maxtor 120 GB Hard drive 7200 RPM
- Windows XP Pro

Now Id be surprised if I would get more than 20-25 FPS on this new ut2007 and thats terrible and definately not fun to play with horrible video lag.

Does anyone else out there feel my pain about expensive computer parts?

I admit, sometimes I wish I could use the keyboard and mouse, I just think it wouldnt be fair for those who use the controller. It would be an unfair advantage.

1 a person using a Gamepad has a major disadvantage to some one with a keyboard and mouse.
2 I doubt they will be able to do with with Xbox due to the propriatary system that Xbox Live is.
3 I have no clue what Sony is going to do, but I don't think it will be much different.

you can already use a kb/m for the ps2 and ps3 via USB ports, so controls arent that big of an issue.

Eh,I have heard the Microsoft people are allowing KB for Text entry only by default, and mouse support is up to the game dev, as well as Keyboard support.
Xbox Live doesn't allow for the game to connect to outside games/services at all, and Im sure Microsoft came up with some sort of propriatary API for games to use for networking any ways, which I don't think they would like it if Epic some how reverse engineered it .

I don't know the specifics on PS3, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go the same route.

Can someone plz post a link where it says exactly that they're making it for PS3 and not xbox...because when my Uncle and I searched around...all we could find was that it was gonna be on PC for sure...nothing about what other console it would be on...and it would be dumb to give the PS3 something when most of their fans are PC and Xbox users.

Somehow I doubt that it won't come out for the 360, after all the previous unreal games were for xbox and Mike Capp's said consoles.

the only reason uc and uc2 were for xbox and not ps2 was because it was more powerful. I actually wouldn't be surprised if ut07 didnt come out for 360 and instead they made a UC3 for it.

Until a developer flat out says it's not for 360 I'll fall on the side of thinking it's coming out on it. This may make me choose PS3 over 360 if that's true, but from all indications it's not. Dev's have been hinting at a 360 release for a while, with them constantly mentioning xbox live in interviews and the gameplay movie.

One theory that seems to fit the available facts is that Unreal Tournament 2007 will be for the PC and the PS3, and they will make an Unreal Championship III for Xbox 360.

Unreal Tournament will be on the PC of course. The fact that they showed a demo at the PS3 press conference means that it'll be on PS3. They've already made Unreal Championship the "Brand Name" for the Xbox.

Console manufacturers control whether or not a title can play against another platform. MS doesn't allow it. Sony might. Who knows whether they will change that or not.

Epic has confirmed that UT2007 is in-the-works for the PC and PS3. However, remember that UT2007's presence on any next-generation consoles (PS3, XBox360) is not yet set in stone.

As for GoW, it'll probably be a good game, but come on, it can't equal UT2007. Now to reiterate myself, which is getting very annoying, I said there was a chance that it might still be made for the 360.

Thats what planet unreal says , not what was said by a developer. i can make an Unreal fansite and say that its coming out for revolution just because it hasn't been confirmed for it. does it mean it will , or my statement has any validity? no. its not confirmed for 360 and but for ps3 , why would that be , when 360 comes out before ps3? so since its has been already said it is coming out for ps3 and pc , and hasn't been announced for 360. as of now it is not coming out for 360 and there is no need to believe it is . Theres a CHANCE it will come out for the Revolution too. but if thats a case you can say that about most games that are announced for a single console.
so until it is confirmed for 360 it isn't coming out for it. period.

wait, i'm confused. Numerous gaming sites have UT2007 listed as confirmed Xbox 360 games (IGN for example), and in a couple interview/video interviews they said the game would be coming out for the Xbox 360.

It be stupid for Epic to make UT2007 for the PS3 and not the Xbox 360 considering Epic has a great relationship with Microsoft, has developed numerous games for the Xbox, and Xbox 360 will have a better online component which is better suited for MP games like UT2k7 than the PS3 is.

Now all of a sudden a week after E3 you guys are saying it's not likely that the game will becoming out for the Xbox 360?

MS is allowing cross-platform play with Final Fantasy XI. So I dont see why they couldnt do it with UT07.

First off, when did Microsoft ever say it would be? Also, if they did (I wouldn't doubt it) Im sure that was one of the terms of the agreement they had to make with Square Soft in order to get the game, and I don't think any one else is going to get that.

MS said when they announced it that it would be cross-platform with the PC just like the PS2. It may even be cross-platform with PS2 also Im not sure on that. I dont know why you guys think they wont allow cross-platform games on 360 when XNA was supposed to be this big cross-platform thing.

And IF UT2007 doesnt come out for 360 we still get Quake 4 to fill that twitch shooter gap. Which is said to have an enhanced version of Quake 3 Arena for the multi.
