soft cover?

Hi im new to these forums but have been folowing gears for quite some time now, can some 1 please explain how soft cover works , like how long it last and can certain weapons penertrate it better than others , also how much of the world is destructable

All I know is that some covers are destructible.

yeah thats all i know , as it would be cool 2 be able 2 cut though some cover with the chainsaw to get 2 an enermy , or shoot thought a wall with the sniper rifle

From what I understand it works like in Full Spectrum Warrior. So, if there is a car to hide behind it will slowly break apart as it takes damage, this would then mean the cover has no more use.

cool , becuase from what i've read from a report from cliffy b theres a map in an old mansion with chairs for soft cover would be so gd to cut though it and massacre the person on the other side lol

some cover in the game is "soft", some weapons destroy it faster like a rocketlauncher will blow up a couch easily, most soft cover is wooden, soft cover is cover that slowly breaks down after time, leaving u open for attack
