Torque Bow question to EPIC

We all know that the torque bow is a detonated bow and arrow weapon,
so my question is will you/or your AI friends be able to pull out the arrow before it is detonated?

and what happens if the arrow gets stuck in you and then the person that shot it killed, what happens to the arrow, will it explode, will it dissapear, or will it stay stuck in you?

Also will you be able to use the torgue bow to blow up soft cover?

And how many Bolts will it be carry.

Well there are my questions,
EPIC if you can please answer them, if not i know your busy,
also if anyone does know the answers feel free to post it

i dont like the idea of a crossbow in gears. it dosnt fit.

it fits in perfectly,
becasue the Locusts aren't as advanced as teh COGs so it makes sense that they would still be using that old kind of weaponary

It's not just a crossbow man. It's like a grenade on a stick. I can shoot that thing across the battlefield stick it in your friend and kill him, then when you come to revive him I can detonate that sucker and kill you. It's not just a "crossbow". It has a little more of a kick than that

if its not fired out of a barrel with powder then its a cross or long bow.

Clancy, come on, the Torque Bow kicks ass. Cliffy has said its is fave weapon, so its gotta be good

And I think it does fit the "feel" of the Locust, brutal, and very effective.

Yes but the locusts seem to be less advanced and more brutal then the COGs,
and a Bow seems to fit the locusts perfectly

Hell all this really is is a cool different way to launch a grenade out there without it being another grenade launcher. It's something new and different. It's not just a damn bow. It's something that gives the game something different from all the other games. That's what makes it cool. This reminds me of my brother. No matter what he sees or how awesome the gameplay footage of GoW is. He still thinks it's gonna be a stupid game. Just cuz it's different. Halo fanboy to the death is his motto.

Dude, it's a game. We play games to escape reality. Take all those fighting games. Is it within the realm of possibility to take a thousand sword strikes and not die? It has to have some level of fantasy.

this isnt a fantasy game. i want a gritty realistic gun battle game, which is what im getting for the most part. cept for the crossbow

The big scary monsters you're shooting at aren't fantasy at all. No way. There's one that lives next door to me. His name is Bob. He has a torque bow. It's pretty sweet.

Well they are all fantasy. I don't know anyone that shoots fireballs out their hands, or can get shot 10 times and not die. I could go on but point made. And yes I knew what you were saying. There is a level of fantasy in every game. Otherwise the game wouldn't be fun.

yeah, because except for the torque bow, everything about this game is realistic, giant monsters bursting from underground.... uber-realistic. your logic is flawed. Cliffy B is designing this game with features he thinks are 'cool.' and a futuristic crossbow that shoots explosive arrows, THATS COOL.

I frikin love the T-Bow. I have my own at home and I can see how it would fit, good range (not as great as a gun) and very painful with the right arrow (my bro shot me in the toe with a blunt one...ask Soda)

But with a bomb on the end....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kind of like the Crossbow in Half Life 2 that shoots metal rods into people. THAT was an awesome weapon. Whenever I'd find ammo for that I'd use it just so I could stick people into the walls, lol.

I think the Torque Bow is going to be awesome. And I do believe some covert forces DO use a bow for stealth. It is quiet, if you can kill someone with one hit instantly (which, btw, IS possible). Even though I don't think the Torque bow is going to be quiet. (Its got a frickin granade on the end!)

If you stuck someone with it, what would be the point in taking it out? I'm sure people will detonate the arrow right away. It also takes away the fun of exploding someone. Much like the sticky grenades from Halo.

It's funny because it was almost exactly like that until around 1853 when the U.S. Navy showed up off the coast of Japan.

Just think of it as a light weight easier to use mortar.

I agree with clancy on the point that it isn't realistic to have in the game and that it doesn't make sense, but it will be so fun to use i don't think it really matters

i think if the person who shot u with it dies before detonating it then it just dissapears, i dont think u can pull it out(its like a sticky nade from halo), and i do think the t-bow can blow up soft cover, just my thoughts

I must admitt that I can not wait to see the bow in use, but I must agree with clancy the weapons seems alittle out of place. Soliders now 2006 in the poorest countries uses guns so how can we expect in the future like 100 years or so they will not have guns. There are benefits that the bow offers, I just would like to know how a 17th century weapon will penetrate 23rd century armour?

but the grenade doesn' t explode on contact, it pierces the victim and is detonate by the carrirer of the bow. I just can't wait to get the game as was said before I don't want to turn this in to an agruement forum. I just like fresh ideas and updates.
