    Default Online Lobby system

    Anyone have any clue what this will be like and how it will function?

    Is it going to be the basic: player match, ranked match, etc.

    I hope that it is easy to make a custom match and to be able to have all the host options to customize the match and invite friends in to play.

    A lot of 360 games have been failing at this.

    You know what I love where you have lobby and you can talk and stuff, kinda like the Socom lobbys.

    Hopefully they do something like Halo 2. That is by far the best lobby system I have ever seen.

    ya Halo 2's Lobby system is by far the best i have seen it was the easiest to navigate i hope it is close to that type

    yea..the party system ruled!!! you could do private games,chat in da lobby, go into matchmaking...it was great and other game developers should take notice

    Halo 2's was the best ive seen in any game. I hope they make it similar to that.

    They also should make it so you can make custom games, name them and save them as well. That will create better replay value and it won't get boring doing the same thing over and over again. (not that this game is ever going to be boring)

    thats what ive been saying, well, if multiple ppl want this that means many people want it also, so hopefully its in the game

    It prolly will be in the game, knowing Epic with Unreal Tournament. (Have you seen some of the Mutators in that game?)
    We'll watch it burn together, on respective sides. I'll go ahead and relect perfections, because they've never looked as good as they do on you right now.

    Hopefully it is nothing like COD2's lobby system. It's such a pain to party up with your friends. Halo 2's system definitely worked the best.

    Yea, man those Mutators were great for any Gametype. Chief, if you're wondering how the Lobbies were set up then they were (and anyone please correct me if I leave anything out) You could choose the Map, Gametype, Kills (if involved), Caps[captures](if involved), and all the other basic stuff, and then there were the Mutators. Mutators were basically Wall Jumping, Quadruple Jump was one I think, Low Gravity, Floating Bodies I think, No Adrenaline, Regeneration, One Hit Kill I think, and some others. UT was beast when it came to Gametype Customization.

    yea ive played other games like that where you choose all of the options and shows you which lobbies have your preferences, if thats what UT is like

    The thing I like the most was the Mutators though. Hopefully they have some sort of Mutator-Option in GoW, but I wouldn't mind if there wasn't since it seems almost perfect already. All I want it just to actually customize the Gametypes, unlike CoD2 where everyone mostly uses Snipers most of the time and you can't deactivate the option to use them.

    I hope we get a Server List/Browser.

    I don't understand why you guys liked Halo 2's matchmaking/lobby system so much. Halo 2's system randomly assigns you games, and doesn't let you choose who/where/what you play. I could play Halo 2 online for an hour and not get a single map/gametype I like. Halo 2's matchmaking system allows cheaters to thrive.

    If Epic does create a matchmaking/lobby system like Halo 2's, I hope 1.) That they give us more options for choosing our game and 2.) They also include a Server List for those that like to choose what/who/where they play (It's a pain in the ass to get private custom games started).

    I liked Halo 2's matchmaking because if you wanted a match, you got it. No waiting for an hour to find a god damned match like in GRAW. If GoW won't have matchmaking, then for the love of god, let us JOIN WHILE A GAME IS IN PROGRESS and throw us in there.

    I'll admit that GRAW's Sever List system was awful, in fact, the online browsers/matchmaking systems for most online 360 games have been awful though. The only 360 game that really has a good system is Perfect Dark Zero (server list).

    I don't really get it though, when Xbox Live first came out, it was so easy/quick to find online matches that you want to play in games like Unreal Championship, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Rainbow Six 3, Soldier of Fortune, Counterstrike, etc. But since the release of Halo 2 and the Xbox 360, the quality of the online match finding systems has gone to hell.
