ok.... not sure y this is happening..... about a year ago ... my fps has been at 45-60.... sometimes higher.... never lower.....
now.... my fps is at 25 avg.... WTH!!!!... i've tried everything.... vsync on/off, anisotropic off, hell i even brought down my resolution down to (sigh) 800x600.... still nothing..... checked for background apps and everything.... hell even went thru the tweak guides...... now i'm getting hell pissed about this....
btw... my roomies fps is just horrible now.......
fyi... got a AMD XP 3200+ , 9800 AIW, audigy, 280 gb HDD, 1 GB Ram, ..... so.... oh yeah... defragged as well.....
any ideas?

funny.... no spyware.... i know that cuz i have 2 different spyware progs scanning every other day.... ... oh and no viruses either

Try downgrading to patch 3355.

Well you should patch to 3369 before you even post here. Install 3369, if that doesnt fix, do 3355.
