Runtime error

I just installed ut2004 after formating, and I patched it with the latest version and installed the mega pack without opening it. When I'm trying to start it, i get this runtime error.

Runtime Error!

C:\UT2004\System\UT2004.exe

The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.Please contact the applications support team for more information.

I had the sam damn prob goin on and i used Utbinder 2004 to uncheck DirectX and check Direct3d instead, now it works!!!!!

This happened to me. You probably need to re-enable DirectX. From your "Run" box, execute "dxdiag" to bring up the DirectX interface. Go to the "Display" tab and make sure the three DirectX Features are enabled (DirectDraw Acceleration, Direct3D Acceleration, AGP Texture Acceleration). Click the buttons next to each feature to enable them if necessary.

I tried what you said and it didnt work... I still get the runtime error! I have been playing this game alot then suddenly it says runtime error when i start! Anyone know how to fix it??

Have you tried to reapply the patch?
