Quake III maps remade for UT2004

That's what I'm looking for. Can you tell me how many of them have been adapted to UT? Also, for Counter Strike. Thanx!

There are several versions of Campgrounds (Q3DM6) and The Longest Yard (Q3DM17) as well as a CTF4-Version of one of the CTF maps and I'm sure there are other remakes as well.
I can tell you that there are remakes of CS maps, but I damn couldn't care less about what happens in CS.

there is Longest Yard? omg...can you tell me the link? i loved that Q3 map and would like to try it on UT.

I've just tried DM-Q3DM3.ut2 and it's cool! This lets you compare both games' playability and fun so easily!

For CS conversions, there is also DM-Dust2k5.

I didn't know about the Q3DM17 port. Imo Q3DM17 is the best/most-fun DM map ever. I'll have to try that one.

DM-UCMP2-Adamantium

It's a remake of a custom Q3 map, but it is very well done.

Slightly OT, but Ilarnek is a remake of the Quake 1 map Aerowalk. Great map.

I'm still looking for a UT2004 version of Q2DM1 (The Edge) :heart:

I've found remakes for the original UT, but sadly none for 2K4. If anyone knows where I can find one (I have searched on my own with no joy) I would love to play it with UT2004.

Hmmm, I remember "[GoD]Odds" working one a version. But I don't know what happened to it.

Knowing Odds, I'd say he dropped it because UT2k4 caused the scale to be botched, or he encountered some technical problem.

On a more serious note, I think there have been a few Q2DM1 remakes, but none had that great feel of the Q2 map.

There is a very good remake of Q3 CTF map "Dueling Keeps" which is included in Flag Pack I.
There is also remake of Q2's "The Edge" for UT2003 (and UT2003 maps work in UT2004).

Pretty much all the maps from the flagpack2004 were Q3 3wave CTF maps or from Team Arena "official" Q3A addon pack.

LOL This is torture! The download links aren't working on that site. :cry:

EDIT: Okay, based on the name of the file I was able to hunt it down on FileFront... yet I still can't play it because even with full Gamma and Brightness, the darn map is dark!! Almost pitch-black.

Perhaps I just am not meant to ever play Edge without re-installing Quake II.
