Im just wondering if Fraps is better then getting a capture card. Is the quality better, or the does the price beat a normal cap card? Just a thought on weather or not to get it and waste my money or to get it.

Mind giving me some information about that? i want to make a video pretty soon.
Fraps Vs. TV Capture Card
Since TV Broadcasts are limited to 480 x 440 (Standard NTSC) You will only get that quality back Via a Video Capture Card (S-Video/TV Phono in) will be poor! (Fonts will just blur - Images will lose there Crisp lines)
The TV output form your PC Graphics card is Poor due to the card has buffered and removed horizontal lines so it will show on a TV set - full screen photos look ok but things like this text and other high details are basically a blur when the output goes throw a TV (even on a TV Video Capture Card/USB thing! $15 ->£200)
Unless you can get you hands on a PRO HIGH END Video Capture card worth over $500 -> $15,000+!! That Supports Hi-def via RGB Composite Cable - Some how I think that just is way out of the price range!!
This leaves you with Fraps as your Hi Def Option
Fraps is Much better (& CHEAPER!!) - Since it can Capture the full resolution of what the game is running at however it’s a very CPU Hungry Program... Just as much as games are (Highly recommends a PC with Dual CPUs or Dual Core CPU if you want some real nice Videos) However it Does work very well with a single core - However the game Slows down yet you have a Nice Smooth Video at the end of it all
