Exporting from Maya PLE to Static Mesh
I've looked the VTMs and I can't find where they teach how to export something as a Static Mesh. When I just open the static mesh exporter and hit export, it gives me a 'somethin somethin node error'.
How is it done?
You need to have your SMesh Selected in Object Mode. If it's in Face, Edge, Vertex, or Other Modes it won't Export.
and if there are several brushes which should be one sm, you have to select them all and group them (edit>group)
Or you could union them so the lines will not overlap. (One nice solid object)
