    Default Aimbot Caught

    removed

I don't have a demo to provide as proof, but I've been involved long enough with UT to know an aimbot when I see one. You can either respect my judgement or not, but please no flames.
The info above was posted for UTAN. The rest will be taken care of between me and Epic.

Posting the GUID here isn't a very smart idea.

If you want to post something for UTAN go to Unreal Admin and you'll find what you need.

Also you're gonna need to have some sort of proof other then you thinking it. Add his name to your buddy list then get a demo of him. Get several demos just to make sure. Send it into UTAN and DR.Sin.

Why are you posting it here? Giving it to UTAN does no good, since proof - the money, is needed. You think I'm going to ban a person on my server just because I heard an old member say he aimbots? I want proof, I want the demo, or at least hear about 100 people come complain to me or at least for myself to see this guy play.

For all we know he could be an what gamers call an "uber-leet" player. You must keep in mind the learning curve for Unreal Tournament 2004 is a steep one and to mix the top with the bottom can really show how very big the difference is.

For all I know you could be just getting back at someone. Although I respect your opinion on the matter it just doesn't have enough evidence to back it up. I'm sure we've grown beyond our old barbarik culture which did a lot of accusing and never had any evidence to support it.

And here we are talking about real money (the money used to buy the game), and if this player in fact is good and did not cheat Epic would have broken its own Terms Of Service thus making it a liability for a lawsuit. Although its a good incentive from the community it can ultimately lead to a bad thing if its wrong.

Don't contact DrSin or any other board admin directly. They don't know you're not a moron. If you have information about those who are providing the means to cheat they have asked you to contact them at ut2004abuse@epicgames.com. Inundating them with the names of people who are potential users of malicious utilities does little good.Send them the GUID, and a demo. The best thing you can hope for is to stop the cheaters from getting onto servers which you like to play on. Contact the server administrator with a demo of the possible offender and perhaps they will ban them or be convinced to introduce better cheat prevention utilities (Anti-TCC, etc.).

Are accusations of individuals sufficient to get someone banned in UTAN?

I think HeCtiC can go off word alone, he is well known here, and in the competitive circuts.

Being well known doesn't prove anything except to the community.

If he is wrong without unquestionable proof if epic does get a lawsuit they cannot defend themselves very well in a court case except that they are providing the service which they have the rights to terminate, although the offense can easily argue that he has bought the partial rights to use the service and the service was terminated without any legitamite reason(s), without evidence, and without notification (although epic may be able to get past notification, its legitamite reason(s), and evidence may be real weak.)

Thats the whole purpose of having the demo I believe, so if they were ever under a lawsuit they would have undeniable evidence.
