    Default Unable to play my map :(

    ok so i finished my map everything works great it looks awesome, so i started a server and had a couple of my clanmates join me, but it never loads it just sits at the screen showing the ip adress and thats it so i sent it to one a couple of them and they started servers and same thing , no one could connect? whats wrong with my map ?

    its my first map ive never even used an editor before , maybee theres something i didnt do right? some option maybee?.

    Ur probably firewalled.

    Turn off all firewalls ur using (also windows firewall).

    Can't find a firewall in your computer? Are you using a router? Look for NAPT in ur router. Enter ur ip...
    If it doesn't work try removing the router.

    yeah, could be a firewall problem. dumb question, did u created mulitple players starts?

    in windows xp, you will need to disable the firewall or have your internal IP listen for the UT2004 port number which I think is 7777.

    maybee thats it cause none of these people including me have hosted a server before and all of us have routers aswell.
    and yes i have multiple player starts.

    yeah, i had no idea what the same problem was for me, but then i stnbled across the firewall settings in my PCcillin 2002, and well, it blocked all incoming and outgoing network traffic except on a few select ports, the UT2004 default was not one of them....

    Yea that's why, whoever is hosting needs to figure out how to have their router let UT2004 in and out.

    Does the auto-download feature work if you're using a listen server?

    im pretty sure it works as long as its in the server's serverpackages= line
