Angry ONS-DryIce-SE, update from UPC version

Name: Dry Ice Special Edition (just a fancey way of saying that the map has been updated)

    Version: 1.0

    Compatibility: UT2004

Description: This is an updated version of the map I entered into the UP ONS Contest.
    Changelist:
-Fixed ammo loads at weapon lockers
-Added a closed door at front of the power cores
-Added cornas to all the light posts
-Added blowing snow on parts of the mountain
-Added an ONStelepad for nodes near the center with a new Manta spawn by them
-Added health pickups at certain nodes
-Added a UDamage pickup on each corner of the map near the bases
-Added a shield pickup on top of the towers
-Overhauled the RoadPathing network (bots dont dump their vehicles as often now)
-Added various design changes here and there to parts of the map
-Changed the lightning in the map a bit

Comments: It is likely going to be one of the largest ONS maps you've ever played.

    Default Yeah baby

Ahh my day is now complete! I seem to remember giving the first version a 9/10 on NaliCity or UnrealPlayground (or both), citing it as one of the best if not the best custom ONS map I'd played...

Way I look at it, any update is a great update and it's just appeared on my HDD

    Kick-ass, bad-ass and sheer-class

Ive tried to run dryice se on my server but everytime as soon as the core blows up it crashes the server. I spoke with cain from cainlair and it has done the same thing to him. Anyone else having this problem? Or know how to fix this? Thanks

The problem seems to be within the pathnodes in the map. I'm not sure why, but to solve it I'm redoing portions of the level (and removing/redoing the entire pathing network).

Now sense the ECE is out, I will most likely turn this into an ECE map.

Unless there are those out there that want the normal version as well?

I think a ECE version would be great. Looking forward to it.

Does that mutator replace, for example, all Raptors with Cicadas?

If so, then that's not very interesting imho. Doesn't allow all vehicles to exist on a map. This map is pretty large and could use a large mix of vehicles well.

    By default:
Replace some HellBender by the SPMA
Replace some Raptor by the Cicada or the fixed Cicada
Replace some Tank by the Paladin
Replace 2 Scorpions by 2 Paladins if the number of Tank is low and the number of Scorpion high

So it doesn't replace all raptors by Cicada../

How does it decide which to replace? Is it the same everytime?

    Sounds good.

Yes, it's the same ones everytime because it uses the same calculations over and over to decide which vehicle gets replaced.

    Default ONS-DryIce-ECE

After some testing on a LAN, I have determined that the bug only occurs on dedicated servers. The map works fine offline and on listen servers from what I have seen.

Anyway, I have completed ONS-DryIce-ECE, which fixes the bug, and adds the new vehicles into the map.

Look for a post here in the Atari forums for the new map sometime today, or tommarow.

Also, I would like to apoligize to admins who had so much trouble with DryIce-SE.

    Thanks for your time.

    Smile

standard decent ONS map, good AVA, wide-open gameplay, definitely get around those barriers quickly though, needs better music; I liked the coronas, blowing snow, frozen trees, oil pipeline, skybox, steelwork, lighting, pickup changes; needs more vehicles; SE version has server crash bug
