Angry Anybody Else Struggle With Lighting?

Does anybody else have to spend lots of time just tweaking one little area so that the lighting fits properly? Between having coronas inside a light, having a blocking volume surrounding the non-transparent parts of the light, and then discovering that blocking volumes only cast a shadow of their wireframe, I've almost run out of ideas. I just want to know if I'm alone on this, or if this is a common problem.

I just despise setting the DrawScale on a corona to a low setting for a low corona, then having the light bulb icon in the editor get smaller too. One of the most annoying little things to find. :sour:

But if you are using a larger lightsource (like a big lantern) it Really funks it up, b/c its not cool to have projectiles just go through a lantern

what i did in that case was stick 3 light sources around it in a circular pattern, and give them all corona's. It really looks decent.

I'm still new to lighting, sort of, so can anyone tell me what are coronas, what their for, and the whole where to find it and settings.

    Thanks.

Oh ya, I have light problems too.
