    Jefe's Loading Screens Volume II

Name: [glow=blue]Jefe's Loading Screens Volume II[/glow]

    Version: 2b

    Compatibility: UT2004, and UT2003 I assume

    Description: Loading screens and wallpapers

Comments:Most of the loading screen packs I've seen have featured high-res character art from the UT2004 fan site kit prominently. That's nice on a few loading screens, but seeing variations on the same formula over and over.... well, you get the idea. I wanted to do something different, so I've made a set that features map and in-game character shots. I've also included wallpapers of most of the loading screens in this set. Enjoy!-Jefe

Credits: FireCrack for information on creating loading screens, Various map-makers and modelers for the images featured, everyone who has commented on and helped improve my work.

    Homepage: none really

    Download: UT200XHQ or My briefcase.

    That's "Kitty the spygirl".

Check THIS thread. It's a pretty sweet model/skin.

Oh, and I'd like to know who the model is in the very bottom right of the above screenshot. Would like it for my collection.

    Thanx in advance.

    Nice Loading Screens Jefe.

    - Any tutorials or instructions on where to begin for making a Loading Screen?

Hey, great job on these, jefe. Better than the first pack, I think.

Question, though: what map is that on the top row, 2nd from the right?

And is there an easy utility I can use to create some of these for myself?

I feel a lot better about this volume as well. The first one I did in a couple of hours using the screen shots I had built up since installing the game. This time I spent a lot of time taking screen shots specifically for this loading screen project and also worked a lot more on the logos and effects.

As for making them yourself, there's a nice FAQ by Mohlraax that covers what you need to do.

By the way has anyone checked out the "Bonus" screens yet?

Sweet! I've been wondering how to change those screens, but haven't really put any effort into finding out how. I really like the pack.

I believe it to be Ons-Apocalypse. It is used at the fragilicious.com server definitely and they have a download there.

Is there a tutorial or written documentation somewhere about how to compile images into a loading screen pack?

There's a readme included in the zip file that has easy to understand instructions. Boils down to adding a couple of lines to your user.ini file, and putting the loading screens file in the textures folder.

    Answer is few posts above.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I'd like to show you something.

What you're looking at are screens I've taken of the winamp visualization, milkdrop, in action. I thought that they would look nice as loading screens, and if you think so too, you can download the pack here. Look for the file "Jefe'sMilkdropLoadingscreensV1.zip".

Yah, and I'm playing UT2k4 again. And I might just whip up some more loading screens for old times' sake.

What map is this? Cause it looks good!
