    Default Taunts while running????

I seem to be seeing this more and more often nowdays???

Why do some peeps keybind there characters to do taunts while running,it looks real stupid to me imho.

I remember seeing that in the ut days as well.

It`s not a big problem realy, but it does kinda look stupid, while there running and taunting at the same time???

They do it to seem like bad-@$$es. Just like when you have your character say, "And stay down" after you frag someone, or when your character dances at the end of a win.

no man - taunting while running is on a completely different level of dorkiness then standard taunts or dancing on screen.

I agree that it's lame. If it were my server, I'd perma ban them just for annoying me. (j/k)

I was speccing a jailbreak game and some kid had his model waving and shaking her head like "no, no, no" while she ran around. Looked like she had a disorder. Reminded me of a crazy homeless person.

Intimidating? More like a slowly move away before she sees you and tries to engage you in conversation about jesus type of reaction.

Does taunting really piss anyone off? I'm usually too busy playing to even notice taunts.

Ya I know that taunt and its really annoying. LG-hits and headshots are harder if someone's (ab)using it... :sour:

    just to make clear:

This concerns binding a taunt to directions keys, not just taunting for a specific reason. And thats kinda lame, imo.

Well, i always had the opinion, that all justifications in the user.ini files are okey. But such movement-taunts cross the limits. :sour:

but well, i'm not your mother so do it if you want to, i wont hold you back :bulb:

I've done that a few times, i thought it was funny :P I always do it when I'm dying in jailbreak.

What I hate is when people have an ani taunt bound to their fire key.

Not everyone obviously - but i often find its the "official server wanker" who takes them personally - i have a lot of speechbinds bound, and i know exactly which key says what  Its just a fun way of communicating - especially when you have two or three on the same server who do the same - it forms into some kind of bizarre speechbind conversation lol :haha:

Doesn't Anti-tcc catch this? I know Clanbase doesn't allow it.

I liked how in UT whenever you fired a weapon you would do a taunt.

Just to be clear what I'm talking about - it's the animated taunt bound to a movement key so you're awkwardly dancing everysingle time you say, run forward.

Taunting is part of the game. I hit my Z=random taunt so many times a game I'm afraid I might wear out the key. And I'm seriously going to start working on my conversational skills with the speech binds.

Instead of saying gg at the end of a match, I sometimes say /humptaunt just to see if whoever won obliges. Sometimes everybody does it. It's hilarious to see the entire winning team break into a flurry of taunting after a match.

certain taunts give advantages during play, such as some give off the impression you are going one way while you are really going the other, these do give some the upper hand where every second counts
It’s like “Hee haw” with lasers

I just turned on Auto taunts on audio and i'm fine. I don't really notice them but, it's fun to hear XAN go "boom"

I had not thought of that. Now I can add some righteousness to my objections to this lameness.

And I just redid my key binds so I can be yet more conversational with them.
