only way to have a good clan is to have an active caln leader. if you dont then you just have a group of people that talked 1ns in a game.

just schedual practis matched and make put them in the news at your site. (you need a site if you dont.) and try to get matches togother. email other clans.

if your not active you will never have fun.

Erm ... that's no email-address in his signature ... so.what is a/his channel in IRC (Internet Relay Chat) where you can meet him. To do that you would need a IRC-prog like mIRC (www.mirc.com). Download, install, start ... enter /server irc.quakenet.org in your status screen, after you have connected to the server enter /join #so.what and there you are.

First of all, you all have to learn to use IRC.

http://www.mirc.com is a good place to start. Download the program. Install it. Then join the quakenet IRC server you will find in the list. Then create yourself a channel once you've connected. Say for example #wearenoobs will be a channel called wearenoobs. The # comes before every channel name. /j #channelnamehere will connect to a channel/create it.

Then get a voice comm program. The in-game program isn't very reliable; some people hear stuttered voices, for others it doesn't work at all. Also, in case somebody gets disconnected from the game, you can't ask them what happened. That is why a 3rd party voice communication program is recommended. Look for teamspeak2 on google. You'll find tutorials on how to use it online.

www.clanbase.com is a place to signup, so you can find other clans to play against. One person is clanleader, who can add members and then give them privileges to challenge other clans, and accept challenges. The clanleader can do this, and more.

There is a lot to know... you should just look up the things above and learn to use those first, before you can really call yourself a true clan.

if you are in the US then you dont want to be on either quakenet or clanbase, thats all european

for IRC - you want to create your channel on either irc.gamesurge.net or irc.enterthegame.com
(ETG has all the TDM teams, GS is more CTF teams)

for ladders - you want to join:
    proving grounds: www.provinggrounds.com
    and TWL: www.teamwarfare.com

however if you're just starting out, you may want to wait to start competing
the most important thing is to scrim (that is - play a friendly match according to ladder rules) as much as possible
try to scrim every night for a month to get a feel for what clans are out there and the level of competition you can expect

also - definitely get 3rd party voice program, above poster was correct

anyways, if you are looking for a CTF stop by #jediclan on gamesurge any time

    gl and hf
