Differant views when playing back demos?

how can i watch my demos with a free cam or another player etc?

If it's a server-side demo, then you'll be able to view the demo through everyone's POV (Point of view). Press the fire button to cycle through each player.

If someone recorded a demo and sent it to you, you'll only be able to view it through their POV.

edit: You can also press F4 for third person view.

Thats sux big time in UT99 you use 3rdperson.

You can only view 3rd person view from serverside demos, or on servers that have that option set to true (practically none of them as it deafults to false)

In UT it was possible, but to cut down on the netcode, they removed the extra traffic this required.

It didn't cost any extra bandwidth. Try viewing from someone else in a clientside demo in UT1 once, you'll only be able to view from his perspective for the time you saw him in the match. Also, there's a fat chance the view is messed up entirely anyway. (for example, it could be upside down, or the weapon mesh could be in front of the screen, more often both)
Even if you do a 3rd person view on your own character you'd probably not see more than you usually would.

The way it works now is a lot cleaner, but less practical for people that don't care much for cleanliness.

Yeah i knew about BHV1 but it dont work even on servers that have BHV1 enabled like mine
