How can I test my mic and Voice IP without doing it on a pub?

I just found this dusty arse old mic in the closet and i want to test it out, but don't want to be that verizon guy online going "can you hear me now" and annoying other players

Might be possible to set up a botmatch and try giving teammate bots orders, like "Alpha Suicide" or "Hotel Dance."

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Sound Recorder

better make sure to "train" the software first (control panel > speech)..

or you can try sound recorder as mentioned, but if you do the above (there's one option in setting up the mic, and then another to actually "train"... if you pick the "setting up the mic" option....) then it will go through a couple stages, one where you say something then it repeats back...

or you can go onto the DGG server and try to use it (if you are curious if it will work in-game)... its still not a definate w/o anyone else to hear you, but if the sound cuts off and you see bars moving on the left-hand side of the screen, then it should be working..

it's pretty rockin... come on over to the forum and check your pm's... we got a whole heck of a lot of maps up (all the originals, the whole cbp2 v1 up, and a couple others).. they are trying to get the mapvoting thang worked out so we can vote midgame for different muts, etc.
