    Post DM-StalwartClassic + DM-StalwartXLClassic [04] [Re Release] [2K4 Update]

    Just a quick note to let you know i have uploaded the fixed and tweaked versions of my 2k3 maps Stalwart and StalwartXL that run on 2k4.

    They have gone through a name change from the originals i released to avoid the confusion that occured with the 2k3 map names.

    Any other mirrors would be appreciated. Comments welcome

    Update list is as follows:-

    For Both Maps
    ------------------
    - I've tweaked the cameraTextureClient to work online (still does not show players though)
    - Fixed Textures not having Detail Textures Set (looks much better with high detail now)
    - Increased lightmap detail in certain places for more effect
    - Fixed some textures having wrong LOD settings.
    - Fixed movers not displaying properly after 2k4 auto convert.
    - Fixed texture corruption after 2k4 auto convert.
    - Replace Bulldog with 2k4 vehicles.
    - Added more Abientsounds
    - Fixed lots of other misc stuff not worthy of a mention
    - Updated readMe as required

    StalwartXL
    -------------

    - Fixed DeemerCam textures not having FallBack materials
    - Updated the DeemerCam Texture a little bit and made it brighter.

    Stalwart
    -----------

    - Score Monitor replaced with AmpCam
    - AmpCam now works online and added a few more in map
    - Fixed AmpCam textures not having FallBack materials

    If you find the monitors not workin online please tell me..i've checked it on my dedicated server at home and
    they worked ok, so hopefully there should'nt be any probs.

    I do have the Karma workin online, but the two reasons why i did'nt include it was:-

    (1) The Karma would require extra server bandwidth to replicate them to clients.
    (2) Did think about putting them both in the zip files but then there would be two versions of each map about.

    If anybody rearly wants the Karma version and has a server with bandwidth to spare running it, i can supply it.

    BTW.. Supernewbie.

    The CameraTextureClient in those maps dont show players and such..But i have tweaked it a little more
    and have a version here that does..just gotta check it to make sure vehicles are shown and it should be good
    for your AS map, i did download and check your map out and the CameraTextureClient isn't rearly usefull for your map
    unless it does show vehicles online.

    yes, I have already removed the monitor from the map, but if you get it working Ill put it back in

    and now release stalwartxl with working online karma physics !

    Looking good, only problem for me was that stalwart didn't play well for 1on1 which you had set it as a default as, played better with 2on2.

    I have to ADmit, I liked XYZZ (?)'s version better, it had better lighting and meshes, but the scale was the original, so I vote for this one(s).

    I just played it.

    Yes, the visuals have definately improved... :up:

    And the working redeemer cam is awesome (tested it on a dedicated)...

    But I noticed that the ramp from the room with the RL on the crates to the room with the hidden stuff is shifted a little (touched it accidentally with "snap to grid"???).


    But that doesn't bother... ...great map. :up:

    Strange never seen the text like that, will check it out once the FlapPack stuff is done (soon).

    As for online karma stuff, i seem to have misplaced it on my HD's somewhere and cant find it :cry: . Still looking for it, but i could be in one of a thousande places.

    BTW

    I did get the monitors to show players online also..but i used a snippet of code i need to ask permission to use first before i release it.

    brighter than original with ampcam, steam and same gameplay and music as original; tough bots and you can get stuck briefly on one of the stairs.

    (can't find any extra DL locations for this one except uz2 files)

    DM-StalwartXLClassic
    slightly larger scale for UT2004 and brighter; I still like original scale better, but this is fun too! Brighter than original with deemercam, steam and same gameplay and music as original; tough bots and you can get stuck briefly on one of the stairs; I think I noticed some extra sounds in here as well.
