I want to start making skins - what do I need?
I want to start skinning vehicles and characters. I have all the tools - Photoshop, UeD, etc.
What's the best way to do this?
Do I just export the textures? Do I need to export the mesh?
Can I just work with the texture and modify it and reimport it into UnrealEd and just apply it there for testing? i.e. do I really need to take the trouble and export the mesh into a 3D app...?

I personnally make the skin art with Photoshop, and use Upaint for verificating that it looks as i want it to. I only use UT2004 for in-game tests (checking visibility mostly) once the skin is pretty close to completion.
