    Default Water... is it possible?

    Simple question...

Is it possible in this engine to have swimmable areas of water? How about swimmable UNDERwater areas?

Basically, over at the Thief: DS forums, we're trying to figure out if we might be able to add water in MODs (IF we're ever given teh tools to make mods, that is).

    Thanks

    yes.
you can swim in a water volume if the water is deep enough.

Just to make sure... I am talking about the Unreal Warfare engine (2003)... it is being used in Thief: DS and the DEVs are saying that there won't be any swimmable water in the game.

I was just wondering if that is because it is an engine limitation or if the DEVs simply aren't putting any swimmable areas in their maps.

There's no engine limitation, unless the Thief devs did something to it. Just add a WaterVolume.
