.
Or do you actually mean that clientcrashes/clientkicks from extensive filechecks like this from www.instagibuk.co.uk/tcc/tcc_2004.txt can be circumvented by using bForceRespawn?
Yeah, that many checks kicks all the players from the server in mapchange or those not kicked gets their UT crashed, I thought it was a valid problem but seems the occasional lagspikes in the beginning are more important.
Btw, UTSecure neither lags nor makes any clients crash no matter how many files you check.
Just some information that I thought could benefit Wormbo or at least get an answer to why this happens..
Hi!
AntiTCC has been working great for us until this one hickup. We have a MAC user in our clan. He gets a bad check on the map when he tries to connect. On almost everymap.
Example. has a modifed 'ONS-Crossfire'
[23:17:07] - MD5 of [335B70256F671673DCD413923D4057B7] Expected [aa4d328f7e0f8f90af40696e2a5db325]
Is there any chance the MAC version has different files?
Thanks.
i get this an i use windows, only i get it 4 Xplayers1?Originally posted by Bobasaurus

I think there's a bug in the Mac version's MD5 calculation. I can't do anything about it, complain to the UT2004 Mac version authors.![]()

How important is the map check in helping curb cheating? Opinions? Is it the most important feature of ANTI TCC or the least? I seek guidance. I would really like our MAC player to be able to participate. Or if I let the maps pass does his other MD5's fail?
Oh the choices.
Thanks
Wormbo, I would like to offer you beta testing by my clan if you would like.
Our clan plays lots of matches and such and we have quite a few servers. We can always have one server for just testing and such or temporarily testing things. If you would like any of this you can let me know and maybe it will help a tad to get some bugs worked out before you release a newer version.
Just an idea if not don't worry about hurting my feelings heh, just offering.
The latest version of UTSecure, i.e. utsecure2k4-111 fixes support for MAC users. It was posted to the ut2004servers list - hopefully DrSin will post a link here too.Originally posted by Bobasaurus

Heres an example of the new style check:
Checks=(FName="playerskins",MD5=("db866b469c266111 1abb221f3b51a450","e5972d08a11f9557ba23dc02ebd36c8 f"),MD5Type=0)
(note: multiple MD5's per guid now)
Yes, there is an unfortunate bug in the mac version that causes the quick MD5s used by the Security interface to be generated slightly differently. It's just as good, but different. Really sucks.

Will that be fixed in a later version? Or more importantly, how can server admins find out the Mac QuickMD5 of a package without having a Mac client handy?Originally posted by DrSiN

Of course, using FullMD5 would be a work-around, but it takes slightly longer to calculate with files like UT2004PlayerSkins.utx having a file size of over 100MB.

Ye this anti TCC is great. I haven't seen many cheaters in ut2003 but i've seen 3 cheaters this week alone in ut2004....
and the thing is...they don't go away. What kind of satisfaction do they get from it. They propably spank the monkey watching pictures of their father too. Sick bastards.
When I get a chance, I'll dig up the QMD5's of all the .U's on the mac. The latest UTSecure has those for the playerskins.
Yes, the bug will be fixed next Mac version.
Well, I know someone who has a patch to get all skin's by downloading a patch thing Can he get banned? from online play?

No. It's only an INI setting, like it was stated 412314324 times before...![]()

I've been killed countless times during those 3 seconds lags caused by AntiTCC. Isn't it possible to split the analysis into many phases so it's not done all at once?

"Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you."

Anti TCC v1.13 is being worked on and the lag is gone already, but it'S not yet ready for release. If you're a server admin and want to help beta-test it, have a look in the Serveradministration forum.

* Edit by DrSiN - I made this a sticky and improved the title a bit so it makes a little more sense.Do I need to have this installed to play on many a server? I got kicked 3-4 times off a standard server yesterday, with a message saying something like, "kicked, version mismatch 34/35" I think that UT2k3's cache may have had something to do with this. I deleted ALL my old UT2003 files, they were very old & don't get a chance to play online much, but when I do I'd like a choice. DrSiN, I know you're the man who can answer something like this, as is Wormbo so if either of you could please help me out I'd be in your debt. Thanks guys, JAH

No, you don't need to install it. When you connect to a server that uses Anti TCC you will download the correct version automatically. Can you please open the AntiTCC_ClientConsoleLog.log file in your UT200x\UserLogs directory and look for the exact error message there?Originally posted by bongoken

Anti TCC has quite a lot different error messages and there are also several mismatch messages, so the exact words would make it easier to identify the problem.

Thanks Wormbo, I'm a bit busy working right now BUT will try & find that error message. I had to do a fresh install yesterday after removing UT2k3 from my PC. Didn't see any reason to keep it on HD anymore. Anyway after I did that my UT2004 system folder looked kind of screwed up. I also think that having more than 1 type of cache manager didn't help, which was the main reason I uninstalled UT2k3 in 1st place. It seemd as if both caches merged & it was pretty confusing. I just received this message from Atari forum Support, MarkL, and this was his reply:
If a server is using alternate mod files to alter the game we have no way of controlling that. All I can suggest is that you contact the server admin and see if they can provided the files you are missing.
So I suspect my .ini file got messed up between the 2 games. Then I had a problem with my monitor being out of sync after the fresh install, and I'm hesitant to install any .u files at all. I promise promise though that I will let you know the outcome. This was the 1st time I ever got a reply directly from Atari from a bug fix report. Thanks again,
Hi all, I wanted to see if anyone could confirm that the latest Community Bonus Pack makes Anti TCC detect an invalid client...
See, my roommate and I have a network of PC's here sharing a 3MB line to the internet. Well, we decided it was time for a fresh install of the network OS's and all so we set the network up new again a couple days ago.
Problem is this: We both installed UT2004, patched our clients up to version 3204, and installed the CPB2-volume1. For both of our clients now, when we log into an Anti TCC server we are kicked within a minute or so. TCC reports invalid clients or something like that, but WE DON'T CHEAT!! I hate cheaters, period. Always have. Could the developer(s) please have a look into this issue because I suspect the CBP2install is signaling a "bad flag" to Anti TCC? I could be completely off, this is based only on what we have installed. We have seperate actual CD copies of the game, patched, then installed CBP2. Nothing else, no models, maps, skins, etc. I just think it's the CBP2 not jiving with Anti TCC because it is happening for my roommate and I.
Any help would be appreciated, even if anyone could confirm/ rule out that this is a problem.
Also, I'm not flaming Anti TCC in any way. It ruled in the 2003 days and I'm sure it still does!! Please help so I can get back into the Anti TCC servers!!

UM...... I haven't run into that problem yet and me and my brother both have CMP and Anti TCC so i don't kno wat to tell you.
Thanks for the new Anti TCC Wormbo!!! Are u sure there is no way to detect speed hackers? There has to be some way to catch them!!! They are very annoying!!!
Well good work anyway!!!
We really enjoyed the server side Anti TCC v 1.1.5, but from the client side, too many modification messages kicking players for no reason. Generally all the player had to do was delete the map, reinstall a fresh copy from the server, and TCC v 1.15 would let him back on. We will either go back to 1.13 or try UTSecure.
Great job Wormbo! Thanks for all your commitment to the UT Community!![]()
when i join, after awhile i get bannd/kicked for something, i play as xan and i used the cheat for him, is that why im getting kicked/banned?

anti tcc is teh sux. i don't like it for it boots anyone who uses a custom voice pack.
Yes, what is up with the program for kicking you for custom voice packs or a skin you've downloaded from FileFront? I can't immagine how a voice pack could help you win. And is Anti TCC even checking the skin or just kicking me for not having a stock skin? The skin I'm using is the Predator.

Anti TCC kicks for custom code. The simple reason for that is: It's not possible to check, whether that code only defines a custom species type or implements a cheat.

AntiTCC is ancient, but if you need security, try version 119c, then make a custom blacklist. You can dowload 119c at unrealadmin.org, and have it run together with UTAN. Or better yet, make your own security, it shouldn't be too hard.
