Incompatible game file

I keep getting an incompatable game file when I try to join games and I can't join any games because of it. It's a cache file and I don't know what is going on.

Keep getting an incompatible file how? Are you downloading something from the server you've joined?

Or is a runtime error? If it's the latter, more description is needed. Got error messages? Which game - 2k3 or 2k4? Are you trying to join a 2k3 game with a 2k4 client or vice versa?

Generally this type of error in joining online games is caused by version conflict.

If it really is just a mismatch with something in your cache then I would go into the ut2003/cache folder and delete all the files in it.

That should clear things up. But if it still happens, then there is a conflict with some mutator that you and the server have both installed. In that case, you can either delete your copy or swap it with the same version the server has.

in the cache configs you can find what file is incompatible and just erase it,so you dont loose all the maps etc
