GPF woes in UT2K4
General protection fault!
History: RenderLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- FPlayerSceneNode::Render <- UGameEngine:raw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
I get this about 25 mins into any game mode with a decent amount of graphical settings (does not does this in software mode). Another thing that I've noticed is that I cannot run any game that uses the quake 3 engine at any detail level. I have a friend who owns a Radeon 9800 and has the same problems. I've tried ALL versions of the catalyst driver from 3.0 and up to no avail.
My Specs: AMD 3000+, 512MB DDR, Saphire Radeon 9000 PRO, XP Pro, SB Audigy Gamer, BioStar MCN7D nForce chipset
What drivers are you using in the Audigy Gamer?
I'm using the newest audigy drivers. Oh, thanks for the thread. I had no clue this was that big a problem. However, I still don't understand why any Quake3 derived game won't run. My friend with the Radeon said that his problems started with using dual monitors.
