After trudging through all the GPF`s in the thread below and reading Mluckey`s excellent tips, I may have come up with something for Xp users.
Alot of you may know but for the people who do not this may work.
I suffered GPF after GPF and had a think.
Someone mentioned in the GPF thread that basically stuff XP and get 2000. Now with that in mind........
Go to your UT2004 demo .exe, right click on it and go to properties. Go to compatibility mode and set it as Win 2000 and apply. Then run it. For the first time I was able to play 6 yes 6 matches without even a sniff of a crash. Remember I said in the title a MAYBE fix but I thought I would share it with you guys as some help because I KNOW the frustration you all(MYSELF INCLUDED) are going through.
If you don`t find it helps then please do not shoot the messenger.
Post your results in this thread just to see whether this makes any difference at all. Fingers crossed.
