I have maya PLE,
How do I preview my work with that black background? With no text in the background.
and how do I put some colors on my creations?

You cant remove the watermark. Otherwise no one would actually buy Maya. As for colory you want to read the first tutorial in the Maya tutorials. There it shows how to make material maps.

protothesecond, explain what you mean by "black" background. Do you use an ATI video card?

With black background I mean previewing it without the watermark. (might thgis be called rendering?I have no clue?)
