What is this cup i here you ask? Well itll be a cup which mixes all FOUR of the UT2003 Standard Gametypes - namely CTF, TDM, DDOM and BR.

Yup its gonna be great, actually played BR online for the first time ever last night and I must say it was very fun indeed. Just got to learn that throwball->xloc technique, and all the maps of course, I'm lost about 90% of the time

The MAS clan is interesting. Lots of players from all over europe, including players from gmpo, Viruz, SK, Xtreme and so on.

To bad BR is in there. 3 fun gametypes mixed with something that should never have been included in a game (its almost worse than deathball )

only reason why BR sucks is because of the trans laming, and thats being fixed in UT2004

oh and BR tends to have skinny small ****ty maps as well. We need more maps like BR-Canyon

the "TL laming" is a skill...

BR-Canyon isn't played online by the BR community since it's one of the worst BR maps there is

TT and an00b are the best BR maps

he's talking about the selfpass feature not telefrag

since the ballrunner cant shoot while holding the ball it's imo quite fair that he can travel as fast as the others while in CTF he can shoot and cant use the TL

that "fix" for selfpass have already been loathed by the iBR and the BR community

besides anyone who consider canyon "good" is either a camper or a n00b

We have a good team of NW players tbh, we should have got further in the nw DDOM cup imo.. I don't know what went wrong.

zero will play GOD on Monday so it's top BR NW vs top BR Insta. Unfortunately they have a lot more experience in DDOM than us and they have Satch

Now we have some quality talent. We'll see how we fair next time. And tbh that was right back when ID just enrolled good players instead of players that wanted to join and have a good laugh. Like zero did. And we beat FtUC. So really we're just going to go around in a circle.

first i thought the quadrathlon is a nice thing.

to tell the whole story:
after mightnight i decided to play a little ddom to get a little bit fun out of a total f**ked up day.
only a few players where there. =TE= Darling behaved like an arse as usual and was really anoying this time. i had to play 3 vs 1 on scorched because he switched out of my team.
1 of the players where really good.
i don't blame anyone for not switching to me only darling for leaving my team.

after a while the good player lifted fakenick. he (cow|Miep) said he wanted to train a little bit for the quadrathlon so i showed him some things on sepukku and we had a little bit small talk. after a while when we wanted to talk about tactics in sepukku an other player (fakenick w4nker) came in and said: "what tactics ddom is only flakspam and standcombos". i think he was from cow too so i stopped talking and just looked how they played. Miep is a solid player but if his clan looks at this way at ddom and br they have no chance if clans like MD or zero who know the game join the cup.

they have extreme problems in non open maps like core and very unusual like outrigger and since they think and said all the time that ddom(and br and ctf) is just crap and kept saying so, they will loose alot of points to the specialist clans(MD (ctf? and ddom) and zero(tdm and ddom) and i don't even feel sorry for them because invading the server of an other gametype and continue saying how it sucks is nothing that ever came to my mind.

if they really wanted to learn something they would train with a ddom clan and not go at 4:30 in the morning too a public server, not even the teams(i don't mean skillwise because i always say one team has too loose, i mean the playercount) and be proud how good they played.

i hope other tdm-clans are more openminded or just let it be, if they can't behave normal on pubs.

i still think the quadrathlon is a good thing but some people nearly changed my mind.

if you find errors in the text you can keep them because i'm a non native speaker and have no use for them

Well I can only speak for the clan that I'm a part of, s3xy... We are primarily a TDM clan but we entered the CTF open cup so now I guess you can call us a CTF/TDM clan... All of our players think that DDOM is fun and intense gametype, although we really dont know how it is "supposed" to be played in terms of tactics...

Its a different story when it comes to BR where some of our members dont like it at all, one of them played his first BR game ever on Skyline, which in retrospect was a bad bad bad idea, should have picked a map that wasnt lowgrav.. but anyway BR is such a different type of game so its not something that many will like the first time they play it, it takes some time to getting used to, atleast it did for me but I know find BR to be a fun gametype although I dont think that it will ever be my prefered style of play I wont back down from a game or two once in a while

We are probably gonna get owned pretty badly when playing against clans that have played BR and DDOM alot, but its just for fun and I think that we are gonna learn alot from it, just like we did when we entered the CTF-cup without even having played a single CTF-game together

Always fun with new experiences imo
