Problem with starting UT2K3

I`ve got problem with starting ut2k3. After instal if I click to the UT2k3.exe file, game doesn`t start and i see that error:

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1664 MHz with 511MB RAM

Delete the ut2003.ini, which is in your ut2003\system folder. That will reset all the entries. It may help.

when you delete the ini files they have default backups that automatically take there place and reconfigure your settings

yes it works but i`ve got another problem;/

had myself a nice night of troubleshooting... from the hip that is.. cause i aint got a clue what to do...

First it sais that it can find 'tauntpack.uax' ... so i find it and dl it and puts it were it belongs.

then it says something about a file named 'Newdeath.uax'. Can only find 'Newdeath.uax.uz2' and renames it to newdeath.uax and then it all comes down to this:

I'm not sure on the english, and I might misinterpret what you mean....anyway

You can only find, or the game says it can only find?
This is it's original compressed form, it needs to be loaded while you're installing the game, and then it unzips itself into the unzipped file name "newdeath.uax". which should be a lot larger in size than the zipped file "'Newdeath.uax.uz2".

And most GPF's happen when you have other programs running or instances running and times out...
Try starting the game again with nothing running in the backround, turn everything off, screen saver, open programs programs in memory and so forth..

If that doesn't work...

Copy all your cd's to your hard drive into a folder called cd1 and wack the taunt pack in the directory where you think it goes, and install the game from there.
I'm sure the taunt pack is included?
So you can even try just installing the game again from hard disk..
I'm sure only bootleg copies do this...not sure, but try it anyways..Hope this helps
