    Default Another scripting question...

    hey I have one of my guys get shot by a rocket but how do I make him stay there? when he gets hit he flys back a little and I'm making it so that the camera rotates around him and slows the gamespeed down (ex like max payne) and I got the gamespeed to slowdown and speed up but the problem is just making the guy stay there...since when he flys back a little it just makes things look a little weird...

    you could try to have the camera follow him. most programs let you animate the focus of the camera, so that you can have it follow a path or something.

    yeah I have the viewtarget set to him but I just didn't want the guy to fly back after he was it...anyways I worked around it...I just put a blocking volume in front of it to stop the rockets and set it to play the got hit animation and sound along with spawning blood at the same time the rocket hits the blocking volume...it took some time to get the timing perfect but I got it eventually...but looks very sweet in slow motion...seeing all the individual particles from the rocket explosion fly everywhere along with the blood squirting is great...I hope to get this complete by tonight and show off my first movie
