Default How do I push custom content?

I have a question for the group here. As you may know starting with patch 2186 lets us push custom content for custom characters from the server to the client. What I want to know is does this also apply to voice packs in LAN games? And if so how do I get it to do this?? Now I`ve read the Tutorial from Epic and it doesn`t say. What I want to do is get all the PCs on my LAN to hear the voice packs each person has selected. Right now it goes to the default voice on the non-originating PCs. Does anyone here know?

    Thanks in advance.

As long as someone is on the server using the skin/voice/model, it will push to the clients. Make sure that you are using redirect and compression if you are going to use something like this on the net.

please do not go overboard on forcing your clients to download loads of unneccecary skins and voicepacks. I hope you realize the annoyances caused by having to download all of this when you try to join a server.

As I said I'm haveing trouble with this on a LAN system. For the life of me I don't know why it doesn't work correctly. Every PC on my LAN have the same files.

If the download requires anything to be added to an ini file, it will not work on the clients by download alone.

yes, if you are using a voicepack there is probably more than just the file you need to have on the clients boxes. There will have to be other files that have references to the voice pack so they know when to be used.

Voice packs on a LAN should be no problem. If The server and each client have both the .upl and .u file for the voice pack. The serverpackages= line in the .ini is unecessary. Server push is not needed on a LAN.

NOTE: If UT2003's sound quality is set to low that computer will play the default voice, and not custom content voice.
