I have my dedicated server up and running... and i can connect to the web console... but when I launch UT2003 on my game machine I can't see it in the LAN tab or in any of the Online tabs.
Any ideas? could it be my .ini file?

Try connecting to the server from your gaming PC using the open <server IP> command in the UT2003 console. If that works make sure you have the following settings in your ini (on the server PC):
Code:[Engine.GameEngine] ServerActors=IpDrv.MasterServerUplink [IpDrv.MasterServerUplink] DoUplink=True UplinkToGamespy=True
If it still doesn't work --> :weird:
I"ll try tonight and let you know. Thanks for the quick response
Agreed ... the "open" command should work as mine does but I've had the same problems with the server not showing up in the browser under LAN (99% not ... 1% does).
Anyone else know why?

Do you filter out empty servers in the server browser?Originally posted by drwhojm

Conntecting with teh "open" command through the LAN worked perfectly...
Conntecting via the Server Browser over the internet didn't work. I could see the server but I when selecting my server it would have the IP address followed by "index.ut2"
I did a forum search and found this thread:
http://www.ina-community.com/forums/...ight=index.ut2
Which looks like it may solve my issue. I'll take a look tonight when i get home and report back. I'm just making a note of this here so that anyone with similar issues can follow my progress and see what worked.
to answer you question - no... i don't use any filtering. not sure why it doesn't show in my LAN but as long as I can connect... i'm ok.... and it DOES show on the internet... which is cool becuase my friends can now connect... (note issue above though - Which i will try to fix tonight)Originally posted by omg OMG

Ok.... i can connect through LAN no problem... (can't see it in the LAN browser. but who cares)
my only other issue is this....
I can see the server from the UT browser. I am able to click and it attempts to join. but the problem I get is this. the error message looks like this:
//10.10.10.10/Index.ut2
the IP address is made up but it is looking for Index.ut2 and I'm currently running DM-Antalus.
Does anyone have any ideas? im my server.ini file i changed the Index.ut2 to read DM-Antalus but it didn't fix the problem.
Thanks in advance
I saw this on another post ... so don't kill the messenger for not giving credit where credit might be due ... i have not tested this yet but here is what the poster said:

I tried changing the line
Map=Index.ut2
and i restarted the server .... the same thing happens... it still looks for Index.ut2
I'm not sure why... I can't find any other instance of Index.ut2 in the ini file. any idea?
