I'm pretty desperate to get some help to get the flight model set up to use when designing and testing levels for DEEP.
The basic requirements would be a trigger ( enter the craft ) that would enable the player to enter a flight mode which would resemble helicopter flight . The player would also need to ' exit ' flight mode to return to walk mode . The design would see the setup allow for adding custom crafts and HUD's , so could be a stand alone mod if you don't want to be tied to any particular game mod ie. could work outside of DEEP ( if that's what you would prefer...I would prefer not ...)
The design is still open enough to modify if you would like to contribute ideas .
I'm hoping for someone who would like to join the DEEP team , but would be extremely happy to get the basics working at all , so I can continue developing the game with at least some flight model working .
Please help , even with suggestions on where I should look first if I need to venture into the coders domain...( shudder )...
If your vehicle uses Karma, you should take a look at the KVehicle class and its children. If not, You can change the Physics of your ship and play around with that. Thats a start, as I know how hard is to get a coder nowadays

PS. I'd like to get hold of the UnrealScript.chl file to use with the Context editor as seen in the VTM videos, if anyone can point the way. I didn't see them at the Context site.
So I started looking into Uscript, and happened across the jetpack mutator from http://mep.beyondunreal.com/ .
This little gem is perfect as a base for the flight model I'm wanting to achieve, so I've modified it as best I can to better suit DEEP (altered thrust values and replaced the redeemer staticmesh with a placeholder cockpit), and can now return to focus on the level/gamedesign and asset creation for the demo level.
I still need help to modify the jetpack code. It would take me ages to learn Uscript and I just can't afford the time on something I know someone with experience could do relatively quickly.
I'm on my beggin' knee....

The ability to detach/attach ( drop/pickup ) the jetpack, to allow walk mode without the attached inventory.
