New to playing CTF ...need some cool people to learn from ,play with !!

Hey Folks !! just want to learn to play CTF from people who know how , and to find some servers to play on also any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated !!!

i use to play ctf and my tactic here is to use translocator to reach the flag and when i take the flag i just try to take the shortest road back to own base and scoore if enemy have taken the flag when you come back i uselly stay near the goal and defend until someone in my own team have retaked the flag. Also notice when you have the flag so cant you use the translocator because if you do so be the flag dropped. and when a teammate have the flag i try to protect him by frag enemys who try frag him. It is 2 ways to play it 1. offensive whish give most points 2. defensive whish means protect own base. ok you can offcourse be both offensive and defensive but i think to do that good so is translocator importent. specially on big maps. But most importent is to play and practice It is cool that older players play to im nearly 30 years myself

Oh I love CTF To, brings back memories of school, having two flags and then at High school, tacle CTF, o the bruses we had.

CTF is a well team oriented game. CTF is also a time game, and like any time game defenc is better than Offence. Your best bet is start off agressive, haveall but one of your team attck the base very early one before the other team is ready. If the opposing team is out before you defend. If you still have a force attck after the wave, this leaves the opposing team in a weakened state.

When you have the flag, have the team protect the flag carrier, but don't have them move wit the flag ccarrier, during halfway brake up and hold your position wile the flag carrier is them guarded by the base defence.

Once you have 1 flag, and the time is still thiking, go defensive have 1/3 of the team defend, wil;e the rst attack. This assurers that the opposing team will have to go offensive. When the timer is in the 3minutes- goe fully defensive, on most maps you cannot really set a wave during this time. But still keep about 1 or 2 attackers to kep the oposin team busy. If you have but 1 flag diference keep attacking. Try to keep atleast 2 flags of score between you and the team. Remebe Defense can over trow offense with a time limit.

If you are in a not time limit, make a 1/3 team, little defense lots attack power. If your flag is taken wile in a wave, stop and get your flag back before. If you have no idea where your flag is, get there flag, do a hit and run. if they have no flag they can't score. and if you don't have a flag stay wit our base in an isolated corner, have the defensive team protect you, wile the attack teams find the flag.

A good wave is made of 2. Have one group attack and about half a minute later the other team go in. Th first team damages the main defens and if they get stopped your no licked. The second team can the mo up the rest. If you are out numbered wile taking the flag, stopp attacking and be evesive, ake the flag and run. The team will always go after you. at the sme time have attack team 2 stay in the oposing base. When the flag carrier dies the flag respawns, team 2 takes the flag and takesthe oposing rout to the flag, this ensures you will still have full healthand armor and will be able to get home safely.

In mid way it is best to have 1 of the 3 denfese men come to meat the flag carrier as the attcker's hold the line to the base entrance. (The most commonly used.)

Also translocate, this is importsant, master that tool, I know I have, I mean i can kill and frag with it no trouble. When you launch the translocate it will hit the foes and bounch on him, before it goes back to the groung translocate, you will teleport INSIDE him and gid him, this trick is great in mutant game mode sonce it does massive damage, and is a instant killer. try it. Also have a translocator set in mid map. If your flag is taken both the defensive AND attack team can teleport back to the middletoblock the oter teams path.

hope this helps, I use all of those in my Hom network, and also Vary your path, since People will learn where you move and have a beter iidea how to counter it.
