Use the Visbility tool in the Terrain Editing mode.

It takes some practice....so save your map to another name.

After you select visibility....use ctrl+rightclick to remove parts of your terrain.

Adjust radius etc.....until it's right for you.

After the visibility.......throw down some BSP.

EDIT: You'll have to add, and then subtract.....or just make a hollow box.

to dig a hole in the terrain like that you just set the raise/lower brush to the same size (inner and outter radius are the same).... then when you get the lowest point... use the flatten tool...

    Stealth,
May I recommend that you read a few tutorials?
I mean, you've got like 12 different threads going.. about things that have been asked dozens of times.
Try looking for the answers using the 'search' feature.
If that fails, check out the UDN or Unreal Wiki - or even 3DBuzz for some answers.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk.. I'm just hoping you really learn how to do this stuff instead of relying on other peoples solutions.
