These tuts are not the only or best way to do the job.. it's just how I do it.. and to be honest, they may or may NOT work for your particular application.

    So.. here ya go.

    Sure it is.
Just make sure that the size of the doc in photoshop is a multiple of 2 LARGER than the size you will need.

Make the doc 2048x1536 and all should be well.

You can also save the doc as a dds if you have the dds plugin.
I forget where I got it from.. but Google knows where it is.

    Edit>Preferences>Rulers
Make sure it is set to Pixels.

    View>Rulers
    You should now see rulers.

Click the ruler and hold it.. drag a guide out.

To center the rulers with 0 [zero] in the middle, click the top/left corner where the rulers meet.. and drag the crosshair into the middle of the doc where your 2 guides meet.

Another problem I'm having sneak is this OVERLAY blend mode. I just cannot achieve the look I want using it! I will give you a visual example below.

In this first example you can see the starting of my design, and my brick texture in the background.

To test the overlay I set one layer of my design to overlay and this is what I get. Suffice it to say far from the original colour and texture I'm going for.

To darken the image I try duplicating the overlay layer. But I get a different texure and a strange YELLOW hue around the design in overlay blend mode!

Is there a way I can use your method without use a overlay blend mode?

Or is there anything I can do to fix the overlay so it looks more like the original?

    THANKS AS ALWAYS!

If you choose NOT to use the overlay - it won't hurt my feelings.
I prefer using it so I can see the texture underneath the design.. like it has been spraypainted onto the bricks.

It will work without the overlay - you just won't see the texture through the design.

    1) Can I not apply a layer transparency to see the patten underneath?

    2) How can I get rid of that yellow hue OVERLAY causes.

    1) Yes.. but it will not 'conform' to the shape of the bricks. It will just be on top of the bricks.

    2) I dunno, bro.. I have never seen anything like that before. The colors shouldn't change - might be a PS6 issue.
