Perfect Dark was awesome.
that's it.
There is a facility map to ut2k3... however, it is overscaled
This thread seems to come up every 3 months. I believe someone converted most of those levels for a UT mod.
Wow, I'm still surprised how popular it has become in the UT community. I beleive the GE/PD N64 generation has grown up to the UT2003 generation, prob the game for PC the most resemblant, without counting Deus Ex.
You are talking to a huge GE/PD fan (who happens to be the founder of one of the biggest GE/PD sites out there) There are tons of GE level for UT2003. I have several... but I don't play them very much... mainly cause They arn't very well converted and I don't like that cell shading technique
Heh, yeah I redid Facility. But it was my first real map, so it's not that good. I wanted to make it fit to UT2003's movement but overdid it by 2 or 3 timesIt's very overscaled. It's also got a cell-shading style, which I didn't even do that well in that map either :bulb:
Someone converted a PD map but it was the same size as the N64 one and thus was insanely cramped.
Ah, you are the one that did it. Why not a second version? Isn't there a simple Map Rescale function in tools
BTW, nice music import![]()
check out my rendition of Facility for 2k3: http://www.unrealplayground.com/maps...type=dm&show=f
Have fun![]()
I tried you'r map...
Here is my review... Well considering you redid the whole mission level it makes for a very BIG level, however it is also a very CRAMPED level, infact certain parts of it are even smaller than the original one. BTW, I notice you took the first part of the level (Bathrooms etc.) from Felicity, from Perfect Dark not Golden Eye.
The level aspects reamian intact (including the emptiness of detail of the level) with the exception for the Bathroom, which you coulda made better. Map flow is slow and cramped... doors have a painfully anoying sound... but other than that, level structure and design is absolutly well kept (well apart from the 20 alcoves you could of left out)
BTW, the music rox. Where did you get it?
I know it has a lot of problems but it was my first map, so hopefully I have learned from my mistakes.
If you think that was big, wait till you see my remake of caverns from GoldeneyeWell considering you redid the whole mission level it makes for a very BIG level
Yeah I was taking my favorite aspects of both versions and putting them into oneBTW, I notice you took the first part of the level (Bathrooms etc.) from Felicity, from Perfect Dark not Golden Eye., but the bathroom I redid totally cuase I messed up on the layout and didnt know (then) how to fix it (size).
What are you referring too?well apart from the 20 alcoves you could of left out
KazaaBTW, the music rox. Where did you get it?Although I am not sure who made that remix as it didnt have an name on it. Only thing I did was just splice them together and convert to ogg.
Anyways thnx for the feedback man, I should release an early beta of caverns soon as I am tired of working on it, in the meantime heres a sneak:

Pwetty nice.
Take for example the little room under the bathroom with the adrenaline... or the little U bend around the two rooms with the shield... or the pipe in the room that used to be the toxic room... just to name a few.
ok I released a final of caverns2k3, check it out here: http://www.unrealplayground.com/download.php?mapid=3417
I thought your version of Facility was pretty sweet from a retrospective POV.Originally posted by acc
