A Question To The DEVS.

Hello All!

I know a while back you guys said that the game was only running on one core. Is the game running on all three cores currently? If not, will the final game utilize all three cores? Also what is your opinion on the graphical qualities on PS3 vs. Xbox360? Are the two platforms about the same in that sense? Can the PS3 have more things going on at once during the game? I respect your opinions very much because Gears of War is truly a unique game!!!

There will probably not be a lot of changes between the PS3 and the Xbox360 since both of the consoles are being released in the same year with most of the same technology put into it. Nothing owns anything. I do feel, however, that the PS3 will have slightly better graphics than what Xbox360 can deliver today. Just slightly.

The PS3 will be freaking expensive, though, and I don't think it's worth the money when you can purchase an Xbox360 for less.

I do hope its running on 3 cores because thats what there for using. It would probably equal in smoother gameplay; better physics; less stupid AI.

My only problem with that is if sony "will" (later) have better graphics than the xbox 360 "today", than wont the 360's graphics improve with the PS3?

the ps3 is a more powerful machine (as it should be for that rediculous price)
but the more that game developers use the xbox 360 hardware the more they will be able to put into the cores later on. so basically the further we get into the game development the better the graphics will get

What do you mean by X360 being a computer. Are you saying it is easier for Epic to work with because it is running Windows, which they have constanly. If thats what you mean then i understand that part, because Sony is running linux which i heard takes more development time for developers. Do no how true that is though.

What? To awnser your first question; I meant it kinda rhetorical, The X360 has internet, chat, online, movies, music, Mail (Well something similar to mail), and has computer specs. So its kinda a computer except no keyboard and mouse

Sony runs on linux? No wonder they get such horrible multiplayer games. Microsoft is much better to work with so that mean Epic has got better relationships with it
