Package 'Cubemaps' version mismatch

"Package 'Cubemaps' version mismatch" is the error i get whenever i try to join ANY, and i mean ANY server, and its driving me nuts!!!!! I can't play a single game online. :cry: I think the file on my cd may be corrupted, as a reinstall doesn't help. Any ideas how i could fix this? I was wondering if anyone else gets this error. I think i have the most recent patch.

im getting the same problem. i have tried removeing the file (so that the correct version couldbe downloaded from a server) but unreal wont start when this is done. i have also searched this forum for different combinations of this problem and you are the only other person so far that has this problem.

do you work in unreal ed? have you altered any files in the textures directory? i suspect that this is something we have done and hope to investigate the reason for a cubemap version mismatch. i notice you made this post months ago. im worried that i will never get an onnline game.

Well that was months ago, but its fixed now and i cant even remember how... since i havent played ut2k3 for ages. But now it seems to work fine, but i think it could well have been that i edited the textures in unrealed. I think i probably just did a full reinstall, that should probably help in your case too.

yeah a reinstall fixed it. the problem was the cubemap file and a few others were replaced when i installed the test maps from the unreal developers network site. the sad thing is that not only did they stop me from playing online they also dont work for the ppurpouse they were developed. i.e i cant actually open the files. without the editor crashing.) must be a problem my end. oh well.
