[Voicepacks] Bender, Mr. Burns, Basil Fawlty, and more

Check out my UT/UT2003 voicepacks. I've done a bunch including Bender, Monty Burns, Basil Fawlty, Dr. Smith, and others.

Not my voice. I used sound clips from tv shows, movies ect.

As far as I'm aware you can't assign a voice to bots or to the player you choose

Agreed about gamespy. But the file submissions/upload is quick and painless. I'll submit a Bender and Monty Burns, but most of my voicepacks are over 2MB, which is the max. upload size at UT2003HQ. ( maybe I'll contact them about slightly larger files )
A German site is hosting my Onyx Blackman and Jerri Blank Voicepacks. They think the Onyx Voicepack is the music group. Even if you haven't heard of Onyx or Jerri I'd get them, they're hilarious. http://www1.giga.de/gigagames/downlo...9,1249,00.html

When you add the voicepack it's .upl file associates the voicepack with the selected model. To use the voicepack, you select the player model named for the voice pack. It's straight forward. Most Voicepacks have unique custom pictures identifying them.

As for bots. Just check custom bots option, and you can select all the bots with custom voices you want. Almost all of my voicepacks are complete with orders and other sounds, so they make great bots in team games.

I uploaded Bender to UT2003HQ. It's in the upload section currently. I'll change my webpage link once the file is moved. Sadly Monty Burns and all my other voicepacks are to large for their automated upload system.

I have the bender voice pack - gonna give it a shot.
Just scanned through the read me and im scared already!!!!!!

I will all so try to get it running on my server pc - VERY scary by the looks of it!

No need to fear. The only neccessary steps ( unless you are running a server)
1. Place Bender.u and Bender.upl in your UT2003/System directory
2. Place Bender.utx in the UT2003/textures directory.

You'll See Bender in your player select menu ( Toggle through the standard characters if you need to. )

In my web admin for my dedicated server, i can add / remove any bot to the server, but I cant add bender!!!???

Any ideas??

I only run a LAN, and have no knowledge of UT2003 web admin. Perhaps you should post the question on the Server Admin forum.

I've sent most of my voicepacks to UT2003HQ. Bender is already there.

didnt figure out how to force pick the bender bot on my dedicated server. Must be a bug.

But

The bot does get played randomly like the rest of the bots and works fine!!!
