If that's the 17 minute movie, it's first 6 minutes of interview and then gameplay. Really nice resolution.

Dude, working with MS seems to be a real pain in the butt. "No chainsaw?!!?"

My gosh, I'm surprised Epic doesn't have that woman's picture on a friggin dart board.

Good thing Epic stuck to their guns. The chainsaw is just some icing thrown on a damn good cake.

No its still there. He was just saying they were complaning about it. The chainsaw became its trademark at E3. Microsoft wouldn't dream of taking it away now.

It was just Epic dealing with MS... You see the Epic dude frustrated as hell hearing this woman (Laura) from MS saying the powers that be didn't want a chainsaw to be showed at e3. Thank god it got in. It really made an impression on most and it was a favorite that caused cheers.

Does anyone know why Microsoft didn't want the Chainsaw shown at E3? I don't think it would have to do with the gore because Microsoft knows it is going to be rated Mature.

Strangely that was the reason... they thought it was "too over the top". IMO thats BS

It appears in the "The Road to E3" that they at Microsoft thought it was just too gratuitous of violence for their tastes. But in the end they saw the importance of it, which is a good sign. Hopefully they will continue to view similar ideas this way.

Even after watching both the show demo given by Cliffy twice, I was surprisingly still very excited when I finally got to rip through someone with that. Not to mention the cheers from others in the room when it happened. I haven’t witnessed something like this since the days of seeing fatalities for the first time in the Mortal Kombat arcade games. Not to mention the American History X "curb stomp" was also a crowd pleaser.

I also have another video of Cliff's E3 Conference demo up over at my GOW fansite, Gears of War Realm. The video similar to the TeamXbox video but the audio came in really good and you can clearly hear the crowd screaming during the chainsaw bits. Just wish our video had more consistent color but they wouldn’t let us “media” folks setup cameras any closer than the back of the room.

I love how Cliffy just revs the saw up a bit every once in a while

I found myself doing that one time in Multiplayer when it wound up to be a one on one match when the rest of the team passed away. It really made the opponent think about coming around the corner on one side, so he'd try the other way and I'd be there with the shotgun in his face.

I have a question bout the chainsaw McCarron, if you dont mind me asking.

Is there a charge up time or just holding B and not releasing initiate the chainsaw attack. Im basically asking because im wondering what is to stop someone from just chainsawing anyone that suprises them around a corner. There has to be some kind of con to using the chainsaw as oppose to using a normal melee
