Which game to get me ready?

Hey guys, new to the forums, and very new to the xbox scene. I used to play ps2 a little bit, but not much. I bought my first xbox system less than a week ago, and have never been happier. I'm just trying to find out from you guys what game would be similar to gow gameplay wise that would help me out for when it comes out? I would like to join a clan very badly but know that I need to practice, so if you guys have any suggestions or feedback I would gladly appreciate it. Myk!ll

It's really the first game of it's kind.

GRAW is cover based but not nearly as much as GoW.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter has alot of similar gameplay to what Gears of War will have. It's great fun! I purchased it 1-2 weeks ago and completed it just recently. You should try it out if you like third person-shooters.
