    this is a thread that will hopefully give EPIC some ideas straight for the "gamers"(us)

    this is how it works:

    post one or more things you would like to see added to the game, and explain exactly what ur talkin about and give lots of details, maybe EPIC will like something u write

    next post something that you would want taken out of the game(optional)

    Added:

    - coop moves. it'd be cool if there were coop specific moves and coop specific areas in the environment. i really liked the coop in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory so if they were somehow able to make some coop exclusive moves that'd be really cool.

    Removed:

    - i don't think i can say what i'd like removed until i've played the game, i certainly haven't seen anything i don't like so far...

    I'd like to agree with Hortys in that Splinter Cell style cooperative moves would be impressive (such as helping your buddy climb up a ledge by letting him climb over you, and then he pulls you up after him) and I would like to add my own point.

    I think some kind of a slide would be cool. A baseball slide. Hear me out here. There is already alot of emphasis on utilizing your cover and staying defensive, there is even something similar to what I'm suggesting in the 'wall slam' you can do by running to cover and pressing the a button. But what I propose is a baseball style slide (legs first, but head first might not be out of the question...) as a way to get into your enemy's cover. Something like this might add another dynamic to the cover system, you wouldn't just flank your enemy, you could get cover fire from your teammates, advance quickly with the roadie run and slide beside their cover. You would be able to shoot to the left, right, or directly in front of you while sliding, but you would only be able to slide a short distance, and of course would be vulnerable because you are lying in a prone position. So you slide in, pepper them as you slide, get up (if you want to get all hollywood he could do a Kip Up, you know that thing the Rock does in the WWE where he jumps to his feet from a prone position?) and find your own cover, or rush in for a melee kill.

    Something I would like to remove? Umm...from the footage I have seen so far I see nothing that begs to be removed from the game. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

    I'd have to agree with people, the ammo swap thing sounds good, maybe you could like throw clips to your teammate and he can catch them or pick them up, the co op moves sound cool maybe even like a dual chainsaw move (that wuld be gross :P) but yeah the splinter cell style helping each other thing soudns cool

    One thing I want removed is the reloading... dont get me wrong I like the timing and if you hit it, it reloads faster (ive been waiting for something like this coz c'mon people dont reload a the exact same speed everytime) but why power bonus to the shots? So far GOW seems quite realistic in every aspect but why would you get a power bonus of bullets becuase you reloaded faster? If they made some good sense behind this then fine but I think it just seems a little wierd... but still this game is gunna kick ass pick it back up and chainsaw that ass :P

    some thing i would like to see in Gears of war is a Comic relief character e.g. Sgt Johnson from halo 2.

    I would also like some other multiplayer options other then 4v4,
    e.g. All on all, 5v5, 6v6 etc, some kind of Oddball possibly gearball.

    Maybe also eggs and lots of secrets

    I would like to use one of the Locust that you have killed as cover for a short period of time. An example would be if your going through open land and you have no cover you can pick up a dead enemy and use him as a shield for a short period of time.

    Now this would be cool. I have never seen nor thought of that being implemented into a video game. Let's hope Epic doesn't like this idea so much that they want to put it in the game, pushing back the release. Just kidding guys.

    I don't agree with Legend on the reload, I like the idea, but one thing I think might be cool is another thing partially derived from Splinter cell. I think if you're up close and don't have the chainsaw out there could be like a grapple or something, maybe break their neck.

    I really like the ammo pass and any other coop moves. I think being able to work together with a teammate and help each other out as much as possible makes for a really fun game.

    There is one that I noticed by watching the demo is the granade throw shows a trajectory of were it is going. I don't see the skill in this and it degrades the game play.

    Granade throwing is an art and takes practice to be skillful at it. I hope that this is an for beginers (mode) only and is not in the game all the time.

    Other than that, it looks fantastic!

    That is my two cents worth.

    I hear what your sayin, but I don't agree, they explained it a while back. they said that when your actually throwing a grenade, you know how it feels, and how much it weighs and how far you can throw it. so on a video game to simulate that knowledge they put the arc.

    back to the post question.
    You could use the point of interest locator (y) and be able to scroll through your teammates. When you look at a teammate you could use like LT to ask for ammo and RT to give ammo or somen like that. Just an idea.

    It actually enhances gameplay, if you'll hear me out.

    I don't know if you played Call of Duty 2, but something unusual that they did was add an indicator that showed you when an enemy grenade landed nearby. Initially this sounds like it would ruin the grenade elements of the game, but it actually refined and focused them. Grenades' function became much more of a tactical one; if someone knew one was about to explode they'd obviously leave their cover to get out of it's way.

    GOW's aiming arc is exactly the opposite, but equally effective. It takes the risk out of grenade throws, and gives them a proper place (in gameplay) as surgically accurate killing blows.

    It isnt a GAINT power boost... just a little one, plus the whole thing is optional...

    WHAT did i say..............lol jk, i love most of everyone's ideas, especially the one about more mp options and i think the reload thing is sweet, just think of it as reloading faster therefore u get more shots in quicker, not as a "power bonus"

    the "arc" is a feature in the game and will always be there, u have to understand this isnt like halo where u can throw nades quickly and randomly, GoW is different u will rarely use ur nades and when u do it will take a bit more time to aim them, which is cool, btw u can bounce them too(HOPEFULLY OFF WALLS TOO) this brings a whole new nade throwing idea into a game, and i think it is great, just wait until ppl start getting really good at this game and then they will rarely need to use the are, which means they can throw nades really fast with out taking and a hour to aim.......

    i wonder if ur enemies and or teammates will be able to see ur grenade arc...i think ur team should probably will be able to, that would be cool b/c then they know were ur throwing it and were to avoid!

    I don't think so, I thought I heard them say the reason it's a bolo... however you spell it... grenade is so your enemies can see you throw it. I' don't think they can see the arc.

    It would be funny, as your hiding behind cover you see a blue arc in your area and you ask yourself "Why is there a blue arc there?" Then you get blown to shreds. Back on topic, i don't think they will show the blue arc for your friends or enemies to see.

    I think your team can see them because then they would know when to dodge a grenade! But no way the enemies can see it!

    i would change marcus and get rid of that aweful soul patch. lol

    no but i would really want some all vs all on live, and i dont know if you can do this already but co op with on the same console. like you and your friend thats already over just chillin on the couch playin. thatd be sweet.

    They have all kinds of coop. Sys link, splitscreen and live. they also have
    4v4 deathmatch and possibly others.

    That would just be wierd and deadly covers (no offence) but why use a enemy as cover? A berserker maybe, a Brumak sure as hell. But picking them up won't allow you to fire and if enemy fire can rip through standard-issue COG armor like paper then think about what it can do to a Locust armor and flesh.

    That is why i said a short period of time. If you have no cover around you, having a locust in front of you instead of you just go without no cover would help. And from looking at the e3 demo, it seems like the locust can take alot of bullets.

    Oh now I understand. Nice idea but sadly the games way too late in development; maybe for (and if which I dream of) a sequel or some other Epic game. Unles Epic already has it in there...
