    Default [Mutator] Mad Bomber

I have created a new mutator called mad bomber. It adds an extra combo which does the following:

    announces "Mad Bomber"
custom nuclear symbols surround your player

you gain speed for 5 seconds, after which you explode with a redeemer explosion.

I am planning on adding this to a package which will have more fun combos added, but I figured people might wanna play with it.

I posted it to ut2003hq.com, but you can also get it here:

    have fun!

Default Can't get to work with a dedicated server

I installed the files, it works nicely when I play "instant action", but I can't get it to work for a dedicated server.

ucc server BR-Anubis?game=XGame.xBombingRun?mutator=MUTbombcombo .MUTbombcombo -nohomedir ini=UT2003.ini

    I've tried MUTbombcombo.MUTbombcombo and also MUTbombcombo.ComboMADBOMB

I'm not all that familar with installing custom mutators.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Default uhmmm weird

did you run the MakeMD5Package.bat file that was included with the zip?

    alternatively:
you can run from a command line:
    ucc mastermd5 -a mutbombcombo.u

    from the UT2003/system directory
    that should fix it

I did run ucc mastermd5 -a mutbombcombo.u command in the System directory actually.

I looked at the code too to figure out what the command line arg would be. So I used mutbombcombo.mutbombcombo on the command line but no workie

I noticed i had ini=ut2003.ini instead of -ini=ut2003.ini. I fixed that tried again and no good

Here's the weird thing, when I start up the ded serv in dos, goto lan game, i see mutbombcombo listed in the games mutators and i try back/forward/back/forward but no go.

I badly wanna use this on my server. Thanks for responding so quickly!

    Default actually. . . . UUUUUGHHHHH

I just worked last night with Azbok for a few hours trying to get this to run on a dedicated server, and guess what!!!

    my code sucks. LOL

I need to set the replication info so that a ded server talks to the clients and allows the mad bomber code to work.

I am working right now, but I am in the process of researching this to figure out what class I need to add and what I should be referencing.

anyways, just to let everyone know, THIS DOES NOT WORK IN DEDICATED SERVERS right now.

I will fix it as soon as I get a clue.

    arrghhhh

    :-P

I wish the size/power of the blast would depend on the amount of adrenaline available, because then it'd be a perfect thing to place in a 'powerpill'

See this link for more info
