    Default Help

    Hi,

I am interesting in creating maps for UT2004. I made some maps for Heroes IV, Age of Wonders and so on. So I have quite a lots of experiencies. But when I opened the UnrealEd V3.0, I was totaly lost and I had no idea how to work with it. So would you be so kind and can you give some advices to the beginning and also some tip, where to find some goon manual/guide how to ccreate some maps? Thanks a lot.

Can someone post step by step how to show the location of all weapons in an ONS map?
I don't want to do editing, just want a quick way to find all the good stuff.

If you'd like you can Host your own site, you can get free server tools at www.analogx.com under Networking, get Simple Server: HTTP. It's awesome! and then you can just get some forwarding address like from www.cjb.net !

I found this page a while ago:

    http://www.sunny-d.com/

It covers pretty much everything from creating your model in maya to importing into UT2k3/4 to texturing to sockets to notifies and polishing.

    Default Skeleton

I’m not sure if any one has asked/answered things, I don’t think but does any one know where to find the default Skeletons or a default Skeleton?

Q: I noticed the guy who started this said something about modeling outside of the computer then scanning it in. Any info about that? I need something like that.

If you're looking for free textures, check out this site: http://www.pixelperfectdigital.com/

I just stumbled across it, and it's the best site hosting free images, particularly textures, I found so far.

Just use the selection tool to (polygonal lasso tool in photoshop for instance) give yourself boundaries.
This makes sure you dont get that big red stripe all over your jpeg lol.
Furthermore, for light and dark area's just use the burn and dodge tool.
once you get the hang of those two, it makes shading easyer.
    but personally...

Id rather use my trusty wacom over the mouse
(though the wacom pen goes mad in ued lol)

You mean UnrealEditor´s version 3.0 or UnrealEditor? Editor is in UT2004, and I think version is 3.

Just built a beast computer with dual SLI 2.0 X16 vid cards, now can play with PhysX stuff. Problem is, I cannot find anything out about how to go about using the physx goodies in my maps. Anyone come across anything related to UT3 and PhysX ??, as I cannot seem to find anything about this and how to use it . . . any help would be greatly appreciated . .
