Default The fans of GoW & Epic

First off, I just want say and probably speak on behalf of the entire official Gears of War Forum that we really appreciate you delivering the most intense and awesome-brilliant game to shooter fans and/or videogame fans alike. I'm sure I speak for all of us here @ this forum.

It's awesome how Ron and even Cliffy B is peakin' in and just making this Emergence Day seem even more exciting and immersive.

This was the first game that said to me "this is why Xbox 360 is the best next-gen system". And seeing it's production and progress, I haven't been let down since.

I THAAAAAANK you for taking your sweet ol' time with this title, because I'm sure you all learned some cool things with the hardware and didn't rush us a half asked game. We know it's coming soon and again, THANK you all @ Epic & Cliffy that you're putting your blood, sweat and grime into this project that is Gears of War.

I haven't felt this excited over a videogame since...1996 when Super Mario 64 came out. It's that damn good!

Hopefully, as we the fans and as you the developers, join together in a community where Gears of War the game is the centerfold of our relationship...we both can make this the best experience Gears of War was made to be.

Keep this forum after it's release. Sort of feels cozy around here.

Awesome job guys. Cheers to the gamers here @ our forum.

    Amen, brother.

I've never been this excited about a game since The Warriors and Unreal Champ. 2, before that, Double Dragon Advance, and before that, I was probably excited about Fighting Force 64, and I doubt I was excited about anything before that.

Great thread......great post........wish I'd seen it before I posted my thread in the wrong forum.......

    Hey guys,
A friend of mine from the 'Superherohype.com' forums, who happens to be working for Epic on 'G.O.W.', just told me about the new forum. I've been a member of the 'SHH' forums for about 5 years, and have been posting in their games forum for most of that time. Since I first saw the 'UE3' tech demo pics 2 years ago........and later finding out they were from early work on what we all now know to be the '360' exclusive 'GEARS OF WAR'........I've been eagerly anticipating this game more than anything in most of my 35 years. In fact, it was my primary reason for buying the '360' at launch. That's right.....I'm a 35 y.o., married, kid-at-heart gaming geek.

Anyway, I just wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone from 'Epic', Mark Rein, particularly Tim Sweeney, 'Cliffy B', 'artist71' (from 'SHH') and the rest of the 'G.O.W.' staff, know that this game is a dream come true for myself....and surely millions of gamers like me...and it's GREATLY appreciated. As frustrating as it's been to watch this game slip out of the '360' launch window, and into fall '06, it's been equally exhiliarating to watch this game take form over the past year, and anticipate it's eventual release and subsequent conquering of the gaming world.

Keep up the great work, and I'll see some of you on 'LIVE' shortly after 'Emergence Day'.

BTW........THANKS FOR NOT GIVING IN TO 'MS' ON THE CHAINSAW/BAYONETTE DEBATE!!!

The Destroyed Beauty art book was an E3 2005 press handout if I recall correctly. I don't believe it was ever for sale anywhere.
