    Default Life=Imulsion=Locust Horde

This majorly contradicts my 'Imulsion is a Weapon' theory, but don't rule it out.

We all know Helen Cooper and the Lightmass Process in which Imulsion can be turned into an infinate, efficient energy source.

Another belief of mine is that Imulsion is an elixer of sorts. The Pendulum Wars have been raging across Sera for 100-200 years, I believe. This leads us back to the designer of the Lightmass Process, Dr. Helen Cooper. What if she took the Lightmass Process further than to create an infinate source of energy, just to gain the power of immortality. Know the creepy woman's voice in the trailers? This could be a 200 to 300 year old Dr. Helen Cooper, using the processed Imulsion as an Elixer of Life.

How can this link to the Locust Horde attack on E-Day? It could link in many different ways. Now, it must be a ***** to live underground, right? Why not use the Imulsion to keep the origional population alive forever, while they continue to breed, and so on and so forth. Yet, how could they have processed this Imulsion?

Remember the Forerunners in Halo? Ancient race, powerful, and which many believe were human before their death by The Flood. The Locust Horde could have been a much more intelligent, more powerful race in the past. This could explain their knowladge of weapons and battle tactics. Course, underground, they evolved with thick hide, night vision, and their ability to tunnel.

Thus they will be essential to Sera's past, directly linked to Imulsion, and to the future of the humans (well, duh). Brumak, Kryll, and Corpsers may have no part in this mystery, but you never know...

Most people probably see a big first post and skip over it...

    To the OP, nice theory.

Good theory but I dont see EPIC taking it in that direction. It seems a little too farfetched (no offense)

Its too....Halo. and last i checked, Halo doesnt have chainsaws, curbstomps, impossible amounts of blood, pornstar-look alike characters, and actually plotlines and endings. well, the last paragraph that is, where u actually refer to Halo.

Still, its a good theory, sorry if i sound mean.
So....anyone hear of a game called Gears of War 2? Its supposed to be really cool, but I dont know...

A-HA! I knew it! The Hypercane was the one who killed Kennedy on the grassy knoll!

It's okay bro. I'm just throwing out ideas. The locust origin is a little to Halo-ish and the Elixer=Imulsion bit is too...typical. There's no origionality in it. And that is what Epic is bringing us. A game that is unlike anything we've played before...

That's exactly what I'm trying to point out. How else can you sense arrogance & vitriol for the Seran humans in her voice?

So what does Helen has anything to do with the Locust? Perhaps she went underground and become some sort of Queen or God for the Locusts.

Actually, a better analogy would be Prey. The Sphere is piloted by different succession of humans who are force to accept their fate as an heir in order to spare their planet. It could be that the Locust has different generations of Queens or Gods consisting of humans. Thus Helen, if she's the Locust God, is using E-Day to look for a suitable heir to replace her.

I'll have to agree with you. That theory does seem to be really farfetched.

It doesn't make sense for the Immulsion to be an elixir of life (plus it would make the story a whole lot shallower).
And it seems that the Locust have been underground since before humans came to Sera. If they had been forced underground, they wouldn't have been able to adapt so well in only 300 years.
And also remember that the Locust themselves don't tunnel. They use the Corpsers for it.

Now its obvious that the Locust have an extremely advanced level of genetic manipulation, however it still doesn't really point to Immulsion being able to create eternal life.

Well, I think its obvious the imulsion is what caused the locusts. Case in point, the glowing wretches. Thinking on it now, I suppose a justifiable reason for their explosive nature is if the imulsion has been processed?

I wonder, though, at the need to make Dr. Helen Cooper part of the enemy faction. In a story like this, its good to have someone who found something for the people of Sera to strive for, something that can potentially help create some meaningful like for those who survive, if they can eliminate the locust threat.

A great quote from Dune is "A world is supported by four things...the learning of the wise, the justice of the great, the prayers of the righteous and the valor of the brave. But all of these are as nothing... without a ruler who knows the art of ruling "

    Interesting quote, I think
Every civilization must contend with an unconscious force which can block,
betray or countermand almost any conscious intention of the collectivity.
